I'm still a Jennifer Garner fan from her Alias days, although I shouldn't be as nothing she has done since compares. I find Russell Brand funny and coupled with Helen Mirren...well, I don't know where I was going with that. I do like Mirren too. I don't really remember the original...Dudley Moore, who I never really cared for except when Peter Cook was abusing him. I don't think I liked it. As for this version, well, I saw it on the airplane, which was just about right. It was absurd, improbable, unengaging. Brand's antics were kind of funny, but not as good as Get Him to the Greek. He had the opportunity to make a great commentary on sobriety, which he almost does at the end, but fails.
