I never read this particular Shakespeare play (Titus Andronicus). The "modern" styling didn't do much for me, and I wasn't particularly excited by the performance of the cast (Anthony Hopkins, Jessica Lang, etc.). But I will say that I was able to follow the story very well. If I was just reading it, I don't think I would have. I turned on subtitles which help because they preface some dialog with the character's name and you can start to piece together who is who.
It's long. About 2 hours 45 min.
It's a really dark story. A little of the crazyness of Hamlet. A lot of death, maiming, a wicked, plotting moor. I'd like to see a different adaptation of the same play.
