K-Flicks - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 09-11-2022 I started working through DM's list of Korean action movies. First up: The Admiral. Holy shit, that is some historical incident. Great sequences, acting was stoic, heroic, eeeeevil in turns. Entertaining as all get out. RE: K-Flicks - Drunk Monk - 09-11-2022 Ya, that’s a fun one for sure. http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomForum/showthread.php?tid=3676 I’m looking forward to watching the sequel. RE: K-Flicks - Drunk Monk - 09-11-2022 Hold the phone... which ones have you seen already? https://www.denofgeek.com/movies/best-korean-action-movies/ Most are reviewed here somewhere. This is where I store my notes, just for opportunities like this... RE: K-Flicks - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 09-11-2022 Villainess, Admiral, Revenger so far. Swordsman likely next week RE: K-Flicks - Drunk Monk - 09-11-2022 http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomForum/showthread.php?tid=6124 I’m confident you’ll enjoy The Swordsman. I keep thinking I should watch it again. I started it again but got distracted. I confess tho - Joe Taslim is one of my fav action stars rn. RE: K-Flicks - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 09-16-2022 The Swordsman was a very good movie. Well acted, politics not too convoluted, and the fight-chor was top, top quality. Joe Taz is so charismatic as a bad guy that you can ignore his wig. Recommended! |
