RE: San Diego Comic-Con - Greg - 07-28-2025 Excellent. RE: San Diego Comic-Con - Drunk Monk - 07-28-2025 Quote:One of Comic-Con's most visible features is illegal I love the wraps. They are so impressive. (07-26-2025, 07:50 PM)Drunk Monk Wrote: The Sakamoto hottie sat down next to me and started chatting me up until one of my editors absconded with her. Jill. A lawyer who gave up private practice to pursue the AR promo with Netflix. Now I e lost track of her and am having a sad. Her name wasn't Jill. DM musta been high. Her name was Sofia. And she called DM her 'bestie' RE: San Diego Comic-Con - thatguy - 07-28-2025 The should do some kind of AR wrap that is only visible when you point your phone at the building...I remember an art piece in Plaza Caesar Chavez years ago, next to the SJ art museum of some plain object, but when you went to take a picture, you would see the real artpiece via your phone's camera... --tg RE: San Diego Comic-Con - Drunk Monk - 07-29-2025 That's exactly what they were doing, among other features. They went out and tagged some of the building wraps so Sakamoto Days logos would appear on top of them, kinda like the show's opening scenes. I suppose you could screen grab that. I should've done that in retrospect. RE: San Diego Comic-Con - Drunk Monk - 04-15-2026 Well, I played hotel roulette for the first time. SDCC has this rather complicated queueing system because all the hotels go on sale at the same time & all the hotels have premium rates for SDCC. By the time I got to the end of the queue, there weren't many left. I managed to score one of the more affordable places out by the airport. In retrospect, I should've paid more for something closer because it'll cost me in taxis fees. I'm still on the shuttle route - it's over a 30 min ride tho. Last year, I did better with a last minute reservation but after getting a weird shuffle buying one off a friend for the wrong date. But at least I got a place to crash. Now hopefully I can find a roommate... RE: San Diego Comic-Con - Greg - 04-15-2026 Are you bringing the Cub? RE: San Diego Comic-Con - Drunk Monk - 04-15-2026 Nope. She’ll be deep in bar study. Once she passes, I’ll have to call her esquire, not cub. RE: San Diego Comic-Con - Greg - 04-15-2026 (11 hours ago)Drunk Monk Wrote: Nope. She’ll be deep in bar study. Just like her father..... RE: San Diego Comic-Con - thatguy - 04-15-2026 For some, those are two different rooms... --tg |
