Anyone else here into Aubrey? I love her sense of humor. Well, despite this trailer, Aubrey's appearance is small, which was disappointing.

The mushroom trip(s) were mediocre, not authentic but a major device to forward the plot. The initial trip (as seen in the trailer) comes up fast, like in the first few scenes. Then we don't see Aubrey again for a while, although we hear her voice.

Mostly this is about Maisy Stella, who reminds me a tad of a young Alicia Silverstone. It' a coming of age dramady about a lesbian daughter of a family of cranberry farmers who is leaving home in a few weeks until her future self (Aubrey) warns her to avoid a certain cute boy (which she does not of course). It's alright for what it is. Maisy is charismatic and carries the role well. I didn't know anyone else in the cast. It's set along a beautiful lake, which reminded me of my NH trip this year. It's a light end-of-summer film.

The casual drug use and lesbian take struck me as so 2020s. This up and coming generation... kids today... fascinating.

At the end, Aubrey returns for a tour de force scene that impressed me with her acting chops. It's twisted, the absurdist pivotal moment that the entire film was working towards, and it worked astonishingly well, elevating my already biased opinion of Aubrey's talent.

Not D00M recommended tho, unless you're an Aubrey fan.

I'm quite fond of her. Loved her in Parks & Rec. And in Drunk History. She was good on Hot Ones. And in one of my guilty pleasures, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. Never saw Emily the Criminal.

I concur with all of that.

I liked her in Agatha All Along too. She was the best part of that.

In that case, this is worth the watch. I'd watch the first part where she appears, and then maybe make dinner or something for the bulk of the film, just enough that you can listen in and follow the story, then tune back in at the end.

Or just watch the beginning and fast forward to the end Audrey scene.
