We wanted to share with you that the new six-part documentary event “K-Pop Idols” is now available to preview in the Apple TV+ press screening room. All six episodes will premiere globally on Friday, August 30, exclusively on Apple TV+.
 
Please note the features embargo is set for Monday, August 5 and reviews and reactions are embargoed until Monday, August 26.
 
Glitz meets grit in this backstage pass to artists from around the world. Through trials and triumphs, Jessi, CRAVITY, and BLACKSWAN give everything they’ve got to an art form that demands nothing less than perfection. Over the course of six episodes, the series follows the superstars through trials and triumphs as they break down cultural and musical barriers in K-pop with passion, creativity and determination while they chase their dreams.

“K-Pop Idols” is produced for Apple TV+ by Boat Rocker’s Matador Content with Emmy Award-winning executive producer Todd Lubin (“Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry”) and Jack Turner (“War Game”), alongside Emmy Award winner Jay Peterson (“Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry”), Bradley Cramp (“Lord of War”), Chris Kasick (“Citizen Sleuth”), Eric Yujin Kim (“Undoing”), Sue Kim (“The Speed Cubers”) and Elise Chung (“Bling Empire”).

I am into BLACKSWAN. They got me with Karma. 

Watched the free ep. I enjoyed it. The Black Swan segments were interesting. Not into Cravity, not into boy bands. Jessi I don’t know. There was some history that I didn’t know, especially about Psy & promoters. I’d watch more, fast forwarding to the Black Swan scenes, but I’d have to invest in Apple+.
