Still the greatest installment of the franchise. I still say this is what made it all happen, a rare example of when the sequel is superior to the original. 

Why doesn’t R2 & Yoda recognize each other? Perhaps they do and just don’t let on. There is one exchange between them where R2’s beep blip beep could be imagined as an acknowledgement. It’s a stretch, but such are fan theories.

Solo works remarkably well to set up Han & Lando’s relationship.

Why does Kenobi forget about Leia? Too much time under the Tatooine sun perhaps. Darth meets her again on Bespin but doesn’t seem to make the connection. Even in a galaxy far far away, women get overlooked, which is ironic since SW has always hard strong female protagonists. Leia does show some force-friendly moments, not just when Luke telepathically links to her. 

Still luv the muppet Yoda more than the cgi one. It’s just more expressive.

Well sure. But it is the burden of all true nerds to rationalize and explain it all. Filoni has turned that into a career. He’s a nerd king.

All hail. The winging it is why I always thought that Darth Vader was Luke's father was always a last minute decision.

I hated ESB. I loved the first movie so much. Then we had to wait 2 years for a sequel and they left us with a fucking cliff hanger!?! Ok kiddies, give us a couple of years and we'll wrap this story line up for you...I was so pissed. And I didn't like Yoda. It was Grover's voice coming out of a different puppet.

It was the beginning of the George Lucas irritation factor.

More like a couple of decades and we're still not done. 

This amuses the hell out of me, imagining an irate young tg fuming at ESB. I get it. 

But I love Yoda. It's one of my more flattering nicknames, arguably more than DM. I have a sizable collection of Yoda merchandise, all gifted from Rock Med friends who've dubbed me so. I'm down. I can do a decent Yoda voice, when so inspired. It's just reversing the subject>verb>object to object>subject>verb and speaking from the back of the throat like when I sing along to Tom Waits.
