Post Christmas Conjunction 2021
#1
I'll be in Saratoga for Christmas. The current plan is to come up on Saturday Dec 25 and quickly leave on Sunday Dec 26. But that leaves a small window for a gathering either at Jake's, the place of everything good or potentially, maybe at Lynch Castle. My mother always bugs me to bring my friends around so that it is a possibility. It would have to be a lunch time affair as I would like to get on the road back to the Lair.

Thoughts.

Not sure about the Xmas plans yet, but it would be fun to see Lynch Manor again and marvel at the 'collection'.

More to come...

Well that sucks. After staying home for years, we're going to San Diego this year, coming home the 28th.

Let’s all go to San Diego then.

I’ll pass on Lynch Manor, thanks.

And Jake’s? Well, you see…

At Thanksgiving, when it was clear that the bros don’t like driving to SF and dealing with parking and *stairs*, and I don’t like driving 2 to 3+ hours round trip every fucking holiday of my adult life, we collectively had a brainwave and declared:

PIZZA CHRISTMAS!!!!

It will be held at Jake’s on Dec. 19th at 1:00pm.

Suck it, G-Man!

Oh, you all are invited.

What are your plans for SD, KB? After 4 years of Tara there, we know it fairly well. We enjoyed it and I hope to go back for SDCC someday.

PizzaXmas sounds awesome. I won’t be there.

Partly family stuff of course. I'll need to hit the art museum. We're staying at a nice hotel (no room at her sister's and she wouldn't ask us anyway) and they have free yoga so we'll do that (haven't taken a class since Stacy was teaching in Fremont). Possibly a family outing to the Wild Animal Park or the zoo (if the zoo then I'll get to see the tree kangaroos and tapirs, my favorite wild animals).

Any recommendations?

Might make PizzaXmas.

We love Little Italy - good food, good coffee and a nice art supply store.

I also recommend the Sea Shepherd tour over the battleship, if it’s docked. It’s a rogue protest boat and I support their cause.

You know the galleries and museums already. There’s a comic con museum that was supposed to open in the park but I lost track of its progress during the pandemic. There’s also a Chinese American museum near the gaslamp but I suspect that wouldn’t be your thing. It’s okay, small like those museums tend to be.

I should review this to jog my memory http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...p?tid=2201

I liked Little Italy when we went there once. There was a fun gallery/gift shop near the Ballast Point brewpub. I thought about hitting the Scripps Aquarium since I never have. Have you gone? There's a big guitar store near the coast that I might go to with my nephew. There's a nice but small used bookstore in Carlsbad (Farenheit 451) and that's not too far from the guitar store. And the Museum of Making Music is also in Carlsbad and I've never been there.

ttt42024!

The G-man is in Toga again and is hopping the hill for break on Saturday. We're going to that place on the wharf.

Hope I'm not being presumptuous in invited the brotherhood, Greg, but we might need a chaperone.
