Screeners I've been invited to but won't attend

I don't know why I'm starting this thread. To document it? To bide the time? To show off?

National Champions - no martial connection and not that interested.

I seriously thought about this one. Like I've said before, I always think of Stro. I can totally hear him quoting 'When you're a Jet you're a Jet all the way!' He would say that to inspire team commitment or something. I even have an angle - you guessed it - the sword fight.

Mercutio v Tybalt is one of the greatest fights of Shakespeare. That somewhat translates to WSS in Riff v Bernardo. There is a credited fight choreographer for the WSS redux. I could totally work all that for a KFM review. But alas, I'm too busy to make a go of it.

I've always loved Mercutio's line:
"No, 'tis not so deep as a well, nor so wide as a church
door; but 'tis enough, 'twill serve. Ask for me tomorrow,
and you shall find me a grave man."

True and that's all that tempts me. I don't even watch regular pro sports. Why would I watch a fictional movie about it?

True. So very true. When you right, you right.

Hold the phone. JK Simmons. No HP factor here. Don't even confuse me. My brain is too fragile.

Damn

These two I'd love to attend but I don't have the time or an angle in...

Being the Ricardos (http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...p?tid=6582) starring DM's next wife plus JK Rowlings!

The Tragedy of Macbeth with a live-streamed Q&A with director Joel Coen and Francis McDormand.

Now I'm just showing off my suffering...

...again.

Wow! DM suffers and shares. How unusual for all of us to see......

I'm looking forward to both of those films. Fortunately, Being the Ricardos will be on my TV.

Never cared much for West Side Story. Still love the Baz Luhrman R&J.

I'd love to see Baz take a shot at West Side Story tho...

A few more invites:

American Underdog

Encounter

The Tender Bar

Prior to the covid, this would be the xmas rush season, so I'd be getting invited to 2/3 screeners a week in Dec. The ones I'm hoping for are Spider-man (12/17), Matrix & King's Man (12/24), Cyrano (12/30), 355 (1/7).

Waiting for the Baz Luhrman take on Elvis with Tom Hanks as Col Parker.

I would see all the films on your list. And I probably will. Thinking of splurging on the monthly pass!

Yeah, San Fernando Valley in the 1980s should be right up your alley. Probably not a lot of sword fights.
