This film rocked me when it came out. It's a goofy HK farce about an undead cop with a pregnant wife. He's trying to catch some bank thieves and see his son get born before his time is up. It's uproariously NPC with gay and buxom prostitute jokes, and some extreme conflict resolutions that just make you stand back and wonder who the heck wrote this and where did they think they were going with it. Breast milk and baby pee. Srsly?
It's a perfect example of what I luved about HK film back then - so irreverent and unapologetic. So unabashedly puerile.
I have a fond memory of watching this with ED while under the influence and having a blast. Those were the days.
No sword fights but big knives, shovels, chainsaws, and an intense fire stunt when you remember that that was real fire back then - no such thing as CGI. Highly DOOM recommended.
