Ah, Mordor. Not missing it at all, but I have no choice but to visit: it’s where my doctor practices. Yeah, I know, I should have found a new doctor by now, one much closer. There was always so much happening and I put it off and them the pandemic arrived and hey: really awkward to go shopping for a new doctor in this environment! Anyway, driving down, doing the appointment, getting at least two nasty shots (due for tetanus and 2nd shingles vaccine), and then turning around and driving back.

Thank the gods for interesting podcasts to listen to.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Safe travels.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

Yikes. You sure it's in your best self interest to travel to the land of massive covid infections right now? For health?

There is always a thread.....

Arrived in town at noon on Sunday to a chilly welcome from Duffy. I needed her to warm up so I could the leash on her so she could go on a potty walk. This eventually happened and we went out for a good 1.5 mile walk. There is no yard for Duffy the dog to pee, so she has to be taken out to relieve herself.

I had to find an ATM to get some cash for Monday's breakfast at the pantry. Google said there was one a short walk away. I made the walk. Turned out the ATM was in the Westfield Mall. I had a lot of culture shock being in a mall again, especially a high end mall in Sherman Oaks. How high end? The ATM dispensed Bitcoin. That was of no use to me.

I ended up getting cash back at the grocery story. I had to stop in and get some stuff I had forgotten to bring with me.

Took Duffy for another walk around the block before I settled in for the night to watch Football. I woke in the middle of the night to find Duffy on the bed with me.

Lyndell came by in the morning and we headed over to downtown to have breakfast at The Original Pantry. He made me drive because he figured I knew how to get there. I had it programmed on my CarPlay. Although, when I started the route, Google Maps said The Original Pantry was closed. Closed?!? The Original Pantry is never closed. Ever. I figured there was some sort of mistake.

There wasn't. They now close on Monday and Tuesday and are only open from 7am -3pm the other days. Bullshit. We drove around to find another breakfast place ending up across from City Hall in Burbank at a fairly nice place. Lyndell and I chatted about our film days and the locations in the area. I think I need to interview my film friends about their experiences and turn that into a documentary....

Camped out at the apartment for the rest of the day. Duffy is back to being distrustful. The big walk this morning was probably not her favorite. She used to walks around the block, not four mile hikes.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

I'm tired of LA at this point and I'm ready to go home. Good thing I only have seven more days here.
