I have fond memories of Tina when she asked us if we heard of acid when Tom Tom Club opened for the Dead on NYE.

I was familiar with his avant garde work of the 1960s, so was surprised by this

TG and I were texting back and forth about Adrian Belew - I had just found a couple of his albums at Streetlight - and he shared this with me. I think I may have seen this back in the day, but if you did not:

That blows. Pretty much only one of them sings. Clearly the audience doesn't care about the performance itself but just the event.

Right? And they don’t even dance. I guess it’s an homage (my Spice Girls feeds blew up about it) but they’re so phoning that one in.

And yes. I follow the Spice Girls. Y’all know I do.

Spice World was a masterpiece of pop cinema.

I am very fond of the Spice Girls and agree with DM about Spice World. Richard E. Grant has great clothes in it as well.

Well, I think Birdy has a pretty good voice. And she doesn't force it, which a lot of them do. Here's a cover of The Postal Service, from 2011, when she was fifteen:

Her more recent originals that I've heard sound sort of like Florence + the Machine, but she sings more like Kate Bush.
