Well, we don’t want that.

I have some odd chores here then up to Tiger Claw to check in about everything upcoming (and it’s a lot - I had to prepare notes to get it all straight), then home to work. Got some writing moving forward on two pieces with distant deadlines (meaning not next week).

A triple telemeet Thurs. yay? Stacy is up in SF all day so it’s just me & Yukz. 

Looking forward to iai tonight because I got my new iaito, plus 4 jo comped by tiger claw to donate to the dojo (the manufacturing crisis continues with all wood products shifting from red oak to red stained birch), plus I have TCEC posters for 3 classmates who are volunteering this year.

I got an album of shakuhachi music from the library and in liner notes and it said Samurai supposedly practiced shakuhachi after sword workouts. I assume to further their zen training.

So something for you to think about taking up.

I didn't get very far with didgeridoo. I suspect shakuhachi is harder. 

The Hakagure also says samurai should wear make up to cover up when they have a hangover and advocates taking a young male ward in the same manner as the ancient Greeks. Hard pass on a lot of that traditional samurai shit.

Off to yoga. It’s the end of the month so it’s restorative, but Maya’s restorative classes can be rigorous. Then work like usual, mostly writing today. Got a short telemeet with immortal. Then I hope to catch the symphony rehearsal tonight - it’s free - Shakespeare themed.

Off to Kung Fu. I got a list of household chores and grocery shopping (plus I need window washing fluid). Nothing major tho. Then I’m headed to China Cats at the Vets for their 15th anniversary party. That’s the plan, at least.

Going to the later beginner yoga class so I can sleep in. Must complete yesterday’s chores, including upgrading my operating system, maybe write a bit. Grateful Sunday is a short stroll away and several catheads (I’m not sure if were called that but there is an emphasis on cat images and cat ears beyond most deadheads). It’s Matt’s Birthday - it’s free although I should buy a drink or something. It’s outdoors and it may rain.

Two telemeets & work. Unlike Greg, I’m not heading over to Si valley because my mom’s house is having the floor redone so there’s no place for me to crash tonight. So I’m skipping a week - it’s giving me mixed feelings: relief and guilt. 

Gotta keep my guard up. Stacy loves to prank me on April Fools and I’m an easy target for her. 

Tonight I’m hitting up Moe’s for the Skatalites. There’s only one surviving member, the Queen of ska Doreen Shafer - but I don’t think she still tours with them because she’s gotta be well into her 80s. Boom Draw opens who I saw for the first time in Feb and really enjoyed.

Visit many banks to move funds. Get the Envoy door panel fixed so I can shut my door again without rigamarole. Jump start cadillac and get the queen on the road to take the cadillac to its new home. Load up the final boxes in the Lynch castle. Figure out a way to fall asleep in a bed or just return home to the Lair in the middle of the night.
