Hope that goes smoothly. I need to see my dentist soon. Been too long.

First meeting down. Second imminent. Then more work. Then digging into my whiskey cabinet, maybe polishing off my tullamore 12…

I might need to go to the dentist. Part of my back molar seems to have broken off. But it's just the cusp so not through the enamel and it doesn't hurt, so I think I'll wait until my June appointment so I don't have to pay for an extra visit.

I should go to the dentist. I have dental coverage now. Stacy has used it several times and is happy with it (she’s an add on on my plan). It’s been a while and my old dentist is covered by my policy.

I think I have 4 meetings today, 2 YMAA, 1 Immortal & 1 TPLA. This telemeet crap is getting outta hand. Then I’ll visit mom and check in on the svale house. Stacy was there this morning meeting with another contractor to pull up the carpet and refinish the floors - he checked and there is hardwood under all the carpet and it appears is good shape. I was hoping for a little break there from all the work, but this launches into a few weeks of reconstruction - pulling up almost all the carpet, repairing & sanding, staining & sealing. Plus she says there’s a big branch on the roof so I might try to get that down. 

Yuki is freaked out by the wind and is sleeping with me tonight. He does that when there’s fireworks.

Heading to Big Kaiser for my first post-op checkup. They might give me the okay to give up the sling. They'll definitely pull the stitches.

While waiting for the contractor to show up in about 4 hours, I'll work a bit and attend to some things around the house. I think I could get that branch off the roof with my spear, but I don't want to climb our rickety ladder without someone watching my back, just in case. There's a lot of palm fronds that need to be broken up and put in our green bin. 

Most of the carpet is up already revealing beautiful oak floors - some really nice grain that just needs a major sanding and refinishing. Only the top stair step needs replacing, probably the bannisters too. The bannisters are nice but it'll cost a lot to sand them so we might just replace them. 

Then home for more work.

Toss the old ladder and get a Little Giant. It's the best, although it weighs about 30 pounds. It will fit in your car though.

I should invest in a new ladder. Or I’ll send my law school daughter up to do it. She’s a former gymnast and circus arts kid and would have no problem. Actually, it doesn’t look that hard - I just want back up in case I slip.

Woke at 4:20 on the nose this morning. Almost posted but went straight back to sleep. An auspicious wokenning.

Two telemeet & work. Then I’m cutting iaido* and playing hooky for King Yellow.
