Nose to the grindstone 2025
Slept well until I was awaken by some serious calf cramps. Got a lot of heavy lifting done for work, then had a short respite with Yuki at the dog park. Now I’m back at the hospital.

One of the most joyous moments of my life happened here when Tara was born. All the other times I e spent here have been miserable. I hate this place now.

Probably make more calls about getting rid of stuff. I need to call one of the insurance carriers. I need to get rid of a pool table. So much crap.

Got any…*Book Tapes*?

Two telemeets. YMAA has been understanding about my situation. It's so awkward to come back from vacation to this. Then I'l visit mom, then go home for the night.

I hope to go to iaido tonight. I could use the focus.

Book Tapes? Probably. Books on CD? So many.

I was just alerted to the fact I have jury duty starting Monday so I need to give them a call. Plus a million other calls. Then fire. Fire. Fire. Fire. Plus more calls.

I feel the need to explain this a little more. My father was born in the year of the snake. I've wrapped that snake stuffy around the passenger headrest of Darth. It's comforting. I look at it and remember my dad, and wonder how he would've handled this. He was such a hard worker, so industrious. He climbed out of poverty and supported our family - still does. I wouldn't have been able to afford my mom's care without their nest egg.

El Camino is constantly sending test results through it's web portal. I can't understand them. I hope those tests are still covered by Medicare. I fear we're going to get walloped by the drug fees because our restored premium coverage doesn't kick in until Feb 1.

Clean house? I thought that was only in the early stages and going to take quite a while.

Clean out. It's a process.

Put the mountain of e-waste and metal out by the curb for the pick-up tomorrow. Go to Kaiser for some lab work. Watch football while shredding a giant bag full of checks.

Finished folding my laundry from yesterday. I just bailed towards the end of the day from exhaustion.

Headed to yoga soon, then a quick stop at Staff o Life to pick up some butter and maybe lunch too.

Taking a break from visiting my mom today because Stacy & Tara will visit. I'm grateful for the break and am dedicating today to my own wellness - I'll probably do a little rote work (struggling to keep on top of it all), maybe self medicate, binge some mindless video like always, and spend time with Yuki. I'm eager to hear Stacy's & Tara's take on what they see.

What a journey it’s been since last Monday.

Today I’m cutting my one telemeet short to get to the hospital in hopes of catching my mom’s new doc when he makes his rounds. Shift change for the CCU.

I have some of that and would love to pass it on if needed!

Walker
Collapsible cane
I3 electric scooter (like a rascal) and hoist to load it into/out of a car
Commode (never used)
Bed handle thing
Grabber

If there's anything else I come across, I'll add it to the list.

Hi, TG--thank you so much. We have all of those things except the scooter (got most of them when CF got his hips replaced; who knew that was just a dress rehearsal?  The bed handle thing was from DM.)

I've encouraged him to get back on Doom to check in, but he hasn't gotten around to it yet. I'll mention it again. I'm sure he would have a unique take on Nosferatu....
