Nightbitch

A raw performance by Amy who put on weight and eschewed makeup for this role. It’s the darkside of motherhood and while it had many relatable moments for a father, it’s about moms. A bit heavy handed with several preachy bits, but it makes its point. It never resolves whether Amy is transforming into a dog (who faintly resembles Yuki) or is just going mad, or what, but it doesn’t matter. I enjoyed it and even felt guilty at the negligent dad’s behavior. It hits its marks. Parenthood is madness.

Not D00M recommended for D00M non-breeders - doubt it’s relatable. Marginally recommended for few D00M dads, only if they feel the need for a guilt trip.

Seen it. About what I expected. I thought there would be more about her change into the dog and less about her struggles, but oh well. I kind of enjoyed it. It did get dark about her struggles, I laughed in a few places. Especially when she dealt with her husband. Didn't care for the animal death. The queen almost gave up during the needle scene.

Not Doom recommended.

My fav review pull quote is that it’s a comedy for mothers and a horror for fathers.
