Pleasant "day in the life" from Yeti liked peeps
If I’m going to make it to yoga this morning…

I’m not gonna make it to yoga this morning…

Today is work & writing. I thought that I was working a show at BGC with Tara tonight but it’s next week. I put it in my calendar wrong. I’ve been working towards that and now it feels like I have an evening to catch up on some stuff.

I just realized it’s now Diwali.

I should really get to yoga tomorrow.

Great day in Arcadia. So many stories. Did I understand a word of it? Not one. It was glorious. So much to unpack that will have to wait until the return to the Lair. Saturday I'm doing a drone shoot of the 6th Street bridge followed by another shot at the Pantry. Sunday will be Jade Egg Time

Today starts with Kung Fu, which has fallen into neglect over the summer. Then I must go grocery shopping & write. Then I get an extra hour to catch up on some shows.

Last night was the Season 1 Finale of H’s new storytelling series. I finished up teaching a little early so I could ride over to Berkeley where she (with this cohort of 5 other storytellers) were performing. Unscheduled rain and winds made the ride interesting. H slayed (as usual) and the whole performance was apparently very tight.

Today is a shop day, should be normal, my Henchman will be in attendance. Might be a sighting of The Cub, AKA: The Legacy at the shop.

Spent the morning in some of the less salubrious parts of industrial Los Angeles photographing the 6th Street Viaduct for the last time. Had late breakfast with my Lyndell and Sharon at The Original Pantry. Very tasty. Too much sour dough toast.

Finally connected with Ms. Jade Egg. I interview her tomorrow. There will not be any lifting. But she will give me some stills to use.

I have a big walk planned for Duffy up the hill behind the apartment to end the day.

The shop was chock-a-block with visitors today: THe Legacy herself and her co-counsel Bri came by. It was very nice to catch up with her and Bri. File them under “Young People Who Give Me Hope for the Future”.

The usual batch of pleasant folks came by and gave me $, then at the end of the day an old AFS person, Gregor P. (pre-Yeti Shogunate) came by with his wife and we had a really nice long chat. Today’s theme was “renewing friendships”. A genuine pleasure.

Sweet.

We’ll see them on Monday when we go out to dinner with Syl et.al., the reunion of the Sphere squad. Then I’ll see Tara again on Friday for dinner and a show.

Yesterday was a good day. Hit the Mountain View library sale and picked up two Fela albums I didn't have, a Pearl Django disc and a few other CDs. Our friend was in town and came over for dinner, and I offered her a painting since we stayed with them in Tahoe recently. She face-timed her husband to pick, and his friend was there and saw one he wanted, so I sold one too.

Today getting a haircut and a little yard work. And a trip to Lowe's for a few things.

Sunday is all about sleeping in and not hurrying (both tasks accomplished). Eventually strolled through GGPark to Haight, had a beer at a dive called "The Gold Cane", sitting in the back patio and avoiding the narcissistic old French woman who holds court there. Lovely day for beer outside.

Visited the bookstore (27th anniversary!) then strolled back through GG Park, now getting ready to go meet a friend at our fave Indian resto: Keeva.

One telemeet but it’s that dreaded 2 hour one (too long) - need to catch up with my social media marketing because the program went down on safari (works on brave). Then we’re off to SF for the night. We’re getting together with Syl and the Sphere squad, plus Tara & Bri for dinner at China Live. We’ve got a hotel in the Haight for the night so we don’t have to drive back.

I’ll be on the road until Wednesday.
