Safe travels!
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

Good thing this is in issues rather than in say travel.

Now at PHL with an hour+ layover.
A big old airport. I’ve never been here before, at least not that I can remember. Maybe I came through as a kid when I lived in PA. Finishing my leftover Jakes and my last pineapple moon cake. Trying not to get my iPhone greasy. Flight was smooth. Napped, watched a movie and listened to some gawdawful music.

Bossmang’s house is very nice - a good length of dirt road to get here but level. When we arrived last night, he had to chase frogs out of his garage. Now he and his wife have gone to work and I’m eating toast and drinking some nice dragonwell pearl tea. The house is surrounded by wild turkeys.
Bossmang will be back to pick me up for lunch then I imagine we’ll head to the office then the rest of the staff will be trickling in tonight.

Was up to 1am drinking with whiskey the bossmang.
Now we’re all at the office waiting for him. He looked a bit rugged in the morning when I left. Never mess with DM’s whiskey fu.

Another night drinking Jefferson & Green Spot. Both bottles down. Up with the bossmang until 2.
Ate well again. Leslie is an amazing cook - swordfish sausage was superb, plus an exotic veggie ravioli dish, mixed greens salad and grilled corn. Lunch was mahi mahi tacos with another lovely view of lake winnepeniske. The day was a work day - Q2 report. Long meeting but more fun with everyone in the room. Had a bit of an allergy attack with my eyes - itchy & dry.

A very pleasant day - up to some fire tower for a nice view (not a hike as promised - it was just a few hundred feet from where we parked). Then lunch at this Italian place (had the salmon croissant Sikhism h was very good), some goofy local gift shop (found postcards!) then the dinner cruise on lake winniepoohsuki (funny cover bands, mediocre food and a rainbow at sunset), then chatting with thr bossmang until past 1 am. Everyone has left so it’s just me at the bossmang’s house with his wife.

Yesterday I enjoyed a pleasant hike near the bossmang's home out to some pond near to a granite quarry. Then we had salmonfish sammiches (leftover salmon made into a sammich spread) and went to his friend's house to see if we could start his snow ATV (we could not). The sun peeked out just in time and we went on an hour & a half ride on his jet ski. Lake Winnipausukitgreg is much larger than I thought, or at least it seemed so as we zig zagged across it on that tiny vehicle. It was thrilling - never been on a jet ski before. Top speed was 40 mph but it felt like 60. And negotiating the waves from the wakes of other boats was like riding a bucking bronco (haven't done that either but I'm projecting). I'm still saddle sore. We had grilled swordfish steaks for dinner. Swordfish for the swordspeople.
I'm now at MHT, a teeny airport with tractors and moose scupltures on display and only one terminal. Flights are on time. I only have a short layover at ORD so it'll be a bit of a dash to get to my next gate. Hoping that there's a Garrett's popcorn stall otw. I think I'm the only POC at this airport. Consequently, I was the only person told to take off my shoes at TSA. Whatev, man, whatev... At least the agents asked nicely, saying some bs that the other passengers were older so they had the priviledge, but that was clearly not the case as there were some others allowed to keep their shoes on that were in their 20s. I look forward to seeing diversity again at O'Hare. There's a T-shirt stand in front of me that's Harris on one side, and that other dude on the other. On the whole, the tRumpers seemed about even with the Harris supporters with the yard signs. Everyone posts signs that are the same size, fairly small like a horizontal mini-poster. I haven't seen anyone flying colors for either side with their attire. It was a good trip overall. I had my trepidations - worried that we all might hate each other but everyone was so very welcoming. They all do tend to dominate the conversations but that was fine - it let me sit back and listen to where everyone was coming from. And the food and lodgings were exemplary.

With all your talks of hikes and cruises and jet skis this seems like the opposite of a business trip.

Yes, indeed. We worked on Thurs & Fri (Fri was the big Q2 meeting) but the rest of the time was spent enjoying Wolfeboro.
The dinner cruise and jet skiing were over the top.

Oh hell no.
It’s nice now but I cannot take that kinda snow. The whole lake freezes over. That sounds like a new level of hell…
