I take it back. That is kinda ironic.
Lessee now, since my last post on the Sheltering in Place thread (post 4755 but who's counting? http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...4#pid73604):
Saturday morning was a return to Kung Fu practice after a few weeks off. I remembered my forms well enough, even practiced them from a slightly freshened perspective, but gassed out early. Then I went to San Rafael for a birthday party of 2 Kung Fu cousins. It was a long ride, but I had to show face. One was my partner in crime who did the choreo for AtLA. The other showed me his impressive collection of antique swords and other assorted weapons. It was a potluck and I brought Toki. Some weird chick was hitting on me hard, trying to get me to 'crash at her pad' instead of the long drive home. It was flattering but also annoying.
Sunday was yoga and work. Monday was more work.
Tuesday was work then Santana at Shoreline.
Wednesday work plus a telemeet with Immortal Comics. That went well. We're going an unexpected direction - tabletop game development.
Thursday was work then Santa Cruz Shakespeare - Hamlet.
Friday was yoga, work, and the TotW:WI screener (online) and launching this thread.
Tomorrow the Kung Fu Academy is closed. I have a telemeet with the lightsaber group.
I need to write this weekend.

That was a pleasant and authentic recap — thank you for sharing with the group.

Alone at the shop today as my henchman is home being sick. I shall have to kill him. I cannot let this insubordination stand.
On a brighter note, I pick up H at SFO tomorrow around noon. She has been gone for almost 2 months.
Our 5 year anniversary is on Monday.

Congratulations.
Spent the morning hauling brush to the burn piles.

Just about to flick on my Com Link to Terra Prime Light Armory. I have no idea why we're having this meeting, but I got my 'Trust me, I'm a Jedi' Yoda T-shirt on.

Went for coffee at Voyager and then a quick run up to Flora Grubb for a plant for Christina. Then a quick trip to Japantown - Christina wanted a sticker and I wanted manju. Then cleaning the porch - mainly vacuuming all the spiders and spiderwebs. Tomorrow I'll go back and do some rag and water cleaning. Now relaxing.

Your five year anniversary is on Labor Day? I’m trying to decide if that’s ironic or not.
I have yoga in a bit, then maybe Verve afterwards because it’s right across the street. Then laundry and I must pick up a cake for my mom’s 94th (it’s Tues but we’re celebrating tomorrow because Tara is off). And I really must get to that writing today.
Also need to update the iaido dojo flyer because we’re changing hours & location.

Happy Labor Day for all of us still laboring!
I’m writing today because last night’s untimely computer crash took me right out of my writing groove. Nothing kills my muse like a computer crash.
Then over to svale to celebrate my mom’s 94th, then dinner with Tara, Bri & Bottles. Then home again.

And it’s back to work. Funny. Feels like I never left…
I’ve got a telemeet first thing, then a solid day of work. Since I visited my mom yesterday, I won’t go over today, even though today is her birthday. Stacy went over to meet with some potential workers for some repair/maintenance projects on her house. She took Yuki so I’m just on my own today. I’ll try to stay out of trouble…

As previously mentioned, yesterday was our 5 year anniversary (the “BurritoVersary”). But due to Labor Day closures and time constraints because I had to teach, we’ve moved the day of the actual celebration (*burritos*) to this Sunday. We’ll now do a Mission District crawl, starting at Zeitgeist (Warm beer, cold women) and then find a burrito and eventually finish up at a new Sicilian gelato place. At least one bookstore will be involved.
For now, it is back to the shop and untangling some paperwork problems that were entirely my own doing. Sigh.

BurritoVersary <- luv that
Not to sully it, but it’s gotta be a euphemism for something that happened in the ol’ AFS parking lot, something that left those perturbing stains…

I'm at work. I have to hire new assistants and the online paperwork portal is a bitch so I'm dragging my feet. And do some budget calculations.

No, that's just you having flashbacks and trying not to use the more appropriate "Nite Cheez" metaphor.

Do not taint the sanctity of the sacred nite cheeze. Blasphemer!
I am trying to imagine what it would be like to be KB’s assistant.
Today is just work. Getting ahead for the next two weeks. That’s the plan.
