Sheltering in Place
I am joining the Doom Bachelorhood as the Queen has departed for Florida. No better way to get over Covid that getting in a metal tube that flies through the sky.

Summer solstice today. Since there are no monoliths around to visit, I'll go to the used bookstore. I've got some stuff to trade.

The Solstice is joined by The Strawberry Moon for the first time in 50 years...sounds like a gathering of sorts!

Hold the phone… 3 D00M bachelors?

Stacy is at Tassajara for the week.

Should we gather under the strawberry full moon?

Happy solstice!

We could gather at the Lair, fight the local fauna and then gather to watch the Strawberry Moon

Or we could stay up way too late watching Nic Cage flicks and K-pop vids...

bachelorhood... woohoo...

Today is just a work day. I should make another grocery run because my previous one this week was done on an empty stomach without a shopping list and the result was inadequate.

Happy Strawberry Moon!

Greg, are you getting smoke over there? I thought you might since it's blowing eastward.

Work today. No one is around and I can listen to music.

No smoke. Or maybe just a touch of haze. We did have another small fire east of me this morning about 5 acres in size.

First Ashfall of the new Fire Season hit here on Wednesday. Had to clean ash off my bike.

You sure that’s ash?

The weather has been sweet here inna Cruz. Reminds me why we struggle so hard with the high cost of living here.

Today got off to a weird start. Yuki did not wake me like he has been every morning of Stacy being away. We did our walk to verve but I forgot my wallet because I took it out to pay my AF parking ticket online only to find they double charged me - 2 tickets for the same offense 11 mins apart - so I’m contesting that. The barista at verve was super nice and comped is my oat milk cap, choco croissant & Yuki’s milkbone. I’ll pay double tomorrow.

Today I have Kung Fu, then I plan to do some housecleaning and get ahead on some work in prep for July. I told my neighbor I’d feed his frenchies dinner this weekend because his regular person will be away. Got a movie all lined up for tonight.

Shop done, fave student sent off, teaching foil built for visiting French maitre, currently sitting in arrivals waiting for my bachelor status to be revoked

Heading out dressed in a heavy sweater to protect my arm from the flying fragments from the trail clearing. Then I'll be exhausted for the rest of the day.

Tara is coming through with a friend. She wants to show off the Cruz as her friend has never been. She’s bringing Bottles so that should cheer Yuki up and will be visiting some high school friends and doing some laundry in our new washer & dryer. I’m taking her and her friend out for a meal somewhere cruzy.

I’ll work a bit and have dog duties, both for yukz & the frenchies. And I’ll finish that movie I started last night even though it wasn’t doing to much for me (I started it late after listening to the Sphere show online).
