Just sold a CD on eBay for $150. I paid 50 cents for it at the library. It's a good day.

Bon Iver's first album, but the version he released himself before the label picked him up.

There weren't any for sale anywhere online, so I had no idea how to price it. I did an auction (normally I wouldn't) and set the minimum bid at $40.

Shop day, but no-stabby day. H has donned her cap & gown and gone to campus to take part in several different graduation ceremonies (The various ethnic societies have their own graduations).

Last night was Cohort #3 of her Story Telling Workshop project (firstpersonstory.org). It was a rousing success.

Tomorrow is her birthday, so day-drinking in North Beach and a visit to House of Nanking are in the cards. Breakfast at the local diner will kick off the day.

Another day of cutting the rattlesnake buffer next to the trail in back of the house. The rest of the day will be spent pulling burrs from my clothes.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

House of Nanking ftw!

Went over the hill to practice with some Lam Kwoon sibs (one was visiting from out of town). It was a great practice and good to see the cfs in the flesh.

The rest of the day will be working to make up for time lost yesterday at the consulate.

If you were here yesterday, you could have seen Aoife chowing down on a mole.

Father’s Day was mostly a downer. Worked a bit, then saw the cancelation of SNWMF play out in slow motion. JAH Med received an early notification. We held an emergency telemeet to ascertain where we were (the non refundable deposit is in the bank). Then I took Yuki to the dog park to learn that one of our pack died yesterday - sweet Bella. I suspect we won’t see her mom, Pawnee, again.

The night was better. One of my friends from grad school, wild Bill, was in town for his advisor’s retirement. He was the first PhD from that advisor, is now a chair in AZ, and is the only friend I kept from my short grad school stint. We went out to Chocolate for dinner, a drink at the Red Room, then I took him on a whiskey tour on our veranda. It was great to reunite.

Today I have one telemeet, then I head over to my mom’s a day early because I can’t go tomorrow night because Stacy is leaving for 10 days at Tassajara. It’ll just be me and Yuki for a while. Tara might visit as she was planning to go to SNWMF too.

I’m still processing the loss of SNWMF. This one really hurts.

PRC Visa unlocked. I rushed back from the Chinese consulate in hopes that I'd catch Stacy before she left for Tassajara but just missed her. She'll be there for a week, leaving me & Yuki to do guy stuff (drink cappuccinos, eat cheese, binge ultravi).

With SNWMF cancelled, I have a free weekend, limited only by Yuki care.

Facebook (and a little of IG) has been a great comfort with the SNWMF cancellation. We are all commiserating in our SNWMF/Reggae groups, sharing how it has affected us and where we're at now. It's been a good surf there because D&C at the Sphere as I watch friends go and post pretty much the same photos I posted.

Gotta get up early for that morning show interview, then Yuki & I will go to verve like we do when it’s just us, and then work through the day. Need to do laundry and a grocery run.

I planned to leave for Boomville after lunch today, hoping to land around 4:20. But no.

I’ve donned the oldest SNMWF shirt I could find (2003) and will be moping all day.

Two telemeets (sales are down) then work then dog parkn then iai.
