Hit Man (2024)
#1
In this sequel to John Wick....

Nope. Not even a little. Glen Powell plays Gary Johnson a college professor teaching psychology with a part time job helping the New Orleans Police Department with listening devices. He mostly works with a unit that entraps people trying to hire hit men. Until one day, Gary becomes the new fake hit man people hire and a whole new life opens up for Gary.

This film could have been made in the 1970s. It's all about characters and relationships. You rarely seen any guns in the film. But the film was engaging. There were a few good twists, but maybe because I think I read about the actual Gary Johnson I knew the story pretty well. It was still entertaining.

So D00M recommended or no?

Been waffling about adding this to my queue.

I thought it started a bit slow but was entertaining. Possibly not enough violence for DM?

Cute romcom. Glen Powell reminded me of a young William Hurt. Adria Arjona was seductively captivating. Their chemistry made it work. Entertaining. Could’ve used a sword fight. Mildly curious about the life of Johnson and might watch a doc on that if there was a decent one.

Somewhat D00M recommended.
