Death Dimension (1978)
#1
This is a grind house Jim Kelly blackploitation film with a Bond score of 2 - Lazenby and Oddjob.

Kelly was a talented martial artist. I met him in hazbeen alley at Wondercon, just before he died. He consented to taking a free pic which is buried in a KFM Facebook album. Here, he emulates Bruce Lee a lot. Unfortunately, none of his adversaries can keep up with him. The choreo is silly overall. The only other actor who appears to have any skill is a BL clone named Myron Bruce Lee.

Oddjob was a pro wrassler IRL. He didn't speak in Goldfinger because he's terrible. He's the main villain - the Pig. He does a totally unconvincing helicopter move on Kelly. He oversees a prostitution ring and is trying to secure a snow bomb which freezes the blast zone, killing everyone in range. It's demonstrated in the beginning with dumb effects. The prostitutes are all rather homely in that 70s way, but there are gratuitous boobs like any blackploitation flick.

Honestly, I only watched this for Oddjob and Lazenby and now I have no idea why I bothered.

Not D00M recommended.

I was with Scapino. We were at a place called Don's on N. Broadway across from the High School getting a burger. And he was just there hanging out. That was his local. No interaction but to confirm it was him. (It was in Montecito Heights not Burbank)
