Sheltering in Place
Visit mom, go home, squeeze a YMAA call in there somewhere, make sure Tara gets a new battery.

Two telemeets maybd - YMAA is receiving a large shipment today and it will outweigh our meetings if it happens during that time. Then tonight Ortiz Sensei visits our iaido class. He is in town again for our mutual friend Dov’s memorial, which I shall also be attending.

My remote day - checking email mostly but do need to do some work on a database project. Yesterday I cut a bunch of paper so I'll glue up those collages. Then off to Recycle to trade some books, Streetlight to trade some CDs and the library used bookstore. Then Costco when Christina gets home.

The buds on the ash tree are finally starting to open. It's always last. The apple tree is so loaded with fruit that I think I'll need to cull some.

The shipment arrived in a truck without a lift gate. Who even ships that way? So my YMAA boss is unloading them by hand. It's books (heavy) and DVDs (not quite so heavy) - 7 pallets worth.

No telemeetings today.

Is that Dr. Yang or somebody lower on the org chart?
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

Dr. Yang sold the publishing end of the business decades ago. It is now managed by two of his senior students who have managed to parlay it into an international publishing company that covers all martial arts, Chinese medicine, and even some fiction. Dr. Yang serves as a figure head, and the bulk of our products are from him because he's so freakin prolific (his trick is he rewrites the same info over and over again, presented somewhat differently each time but essentially the same stuff - but you didn't hear that from me).

Today is when we celebrate Yuki’s birthday. He is 4. I will take him to the pet store and let him choose some treats for his pack and a toy for himself.

I also have yoga and YMAA work to make up for missing Friday.
