After a ridiculously arduous day of travel, we have arrived at Mar de Jade, a Sufi/zen resort about an hour and a half north of Puerto Vallarta. Came in at night but so we couldn’t really see it, but it’s right on the ocean and we can hear the waves crashing and the crickets chirping form our room, which is a lovely stone and tile with dark thick wood beams, a massive bathroom with two showers, one over a deep tile tub, and a place to lay out.

Yoga starts early tomorrow 7am (which is like 5 am pst). Two two hour sessions a day, all inclusive meals (they saved us dinner - enchiladas, veggies, rice & black beans done tastefully - that we ate in the open air restaurant maybe 30 feet from the pounding surf.

I did not bring my laptop although I could’ve worked here (good wifi and plenty of nice work areas). I won’t be posting pix until I get back next weekend.

This is going to be a good week.

ENJOY!
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

Today’s schedule: yoga, eat, read (for pleasure), nap in hammock.

All achieved already. Next round soon.

Only in our hearts. She’s watching Yuki rn.

The food here is healthy and delicious. It took all my willpower not to abscond with the ceviche tray and eat it all…

Already quite sore from the yoga. Today’s schedule is the same - yoga, breakfast, lunch, yoga, dinner - with plenty of beach time in between. Hoping to do my neijia practice too - did some qigong yesterday.

Despite not bringing my laptop, I may do some writing on my iPhone here. My mind is racing, wandering like the wild geese in the west.

I am so sore. It’s only the 4th session. Not even halfway. All these older women are kicking my ass. Yoga. Oof.

Slept very well last night. My body is beginning to adjust to the workouts. It reminds me of Shaolin temple - it took about a week to settle into the regimen. I’ll probably be adjusted right when I leave.

I brought too many socks. Here on the beach, there’s no need for socks.

The soft looking yoga ladies always kick your ass. Not only are they more flexible, but then they surprise you with their strength.

Today was good. Two solid yoga sessions (felt energized), hot tubbing, hike to the crater for a commending view of Chacala, ate well (did NOT overdo the guacamole like yesterday), read in the hammock where our teacher was a prop angel and materialized out of nowhere with a rolled towel for a pillow then promptly vanished into thin air, relaxed & even went through my neijia practice.
