Wednesday work, go home, work some more. No dog parkn because our dog walkers have returned from their summer vacation.

Telemeet Thursday but only two today. Tonight there’s a visiting sensei from New York that’ll be leading iaido. He’ll be here for two weeks so class will be ramped up, plus there will be an exam when he leaves. Iaido is ranked like any Japanese discipline.

Are you doing anything with the Abbot from Shaolin and his visit?

Payhuan from Immortal met with the Abbot regarding our upcoming event in Nov. I've been waiting confirmation on the next steps there, but I'm told it's all greenlit. The Abbot was passing through headed to a major religious gathering in Chicago (I think). I was in a zoom meeting about all this a while back but it was all in mandarin so I couldn't follow it well enough to stay tuned in.

Another busy day at work, but it mellowed out enough in the afternoon that I had time to make a stand for a sculpture, with help from an instructor who owed me a favor.

Happy Friday! I have one telemeeting, then I have to let the neighbor’s frenchies out, then lunch with an old Kung Fu brother, then back to work. Then dog parkn.

Today is a big iaido session with the visiting sensei from New York. I think we’ll b focusing on jo. It’s funny - I e been working with longer staffs and shorter rods for decades but jo staff is right in between so it jams me up. This sensei has a wealth of wisdom and an eye for detail. During our Thursday class my brain was full half way through and had to phone in the remainder of the class. We’ll probably do lunch afterwards. Then it’s probably an epsom salt bath for me.

The neighbor told me that they have high lead levels in their water - found out because the baby had high lead levels - so we went and bought a water test kit. I also picked up a metal rod for a sculpture I'm working on. Later while Christina potted some plants, I went and got some acrylic from TAP - all from the scrap bin so nice and cheap - and hit the used bookstore and got a couple of things.

Sunday - work & laundry. Need to get ahead on some work for YMAA, KFM & Immortal. Dog parkn later - need to let the neighbor’s dogs out.

Monday. Work day. Lining up my Shaolin spam for Sep. Spam spam spam lovely spam.

Plus there's some Shaolin bizness that needs my attention.

Work again. Opening the Makerspace for the semester. Since probably no one will come in, I'll cut some acrylic and paper. Working on a couple of new sculptures, and re-doing some collages. And making a sculpture for a friend who's going to pay me. Not pay a lot, but 2-3 times material costs, so subsidizing future work.

Tuesday work. Yesterday I had a few meetings to deal with. Today I shall be uninterrupted, which will be refreshing so I can be more efficient. Lots of niggling tasks to complete.
