I remember him well. He was one of our cover masters, known as the fishmonger because that's how he made his living when he was young. A super intense street fighter and father of Master Zhong Luo, who was an honored guest at several Lam Kwoon events and now promotes MMA fights in SF and Oakland. ZL was built like Bolo Yeung - his upper body was thicc and solid muscle. Hardcore fighters, both father and son. I hung out with GM Ma a few times over yum cha (tea & dim sum, a Hong Kong thing...) He got all psycho when he talked about fights, like in a good way, inspirational and clearly a survivor of some brutal times - a southern China street fighter and back room brawler. It was impressive and a bit intimidating, but I liked his authenticity.
