I should’ve changed her mailing address last year but I was clinging to the idea that she might go home someday. We’ve all let go of that now. I plan to install a locking mailbox - it’s on my ever expanding list of things I must do. My penchant for procrastination is profound now.
tg - have you gone there? I’m intrigued.
1079:395 - a triple telemeet Thurs, then finish loading next week’s spam and social media, laundry because I leave Sunday, maybe a grocery run (backpacking food), iaido, ST:SNW (which just went live and I’m sorely tempted but I really must sleep as I didn’t get much last night with the fireworks spookin Yuki. So much to do to prep for the next two week run… gear must be in place for the gear shifts. My head must be in place for those gear shifts too…

Getting new tires.
Update: I hate car repair.

Terra and I picked up food there once. It was formerly a food truck. IIRC, the fare was decent although a little pricey. We didn't stay. The ambiance was like most fast-food joints.

1080:396: Triple meeting Friday. Wuh? Got my usual YMAA meeting, which I had to move forward for a pre-sdcc immortal meeting which I’ll have to cut short for a meeting with our notary. Then finally - FINALLY - I can do some prep for the backpacking trip.
Plus the usual dog parkn & vid bingn… like every night almost.

The notary meeting was over 2 hours. It was paperwork for our first house sale - ranch Macbeth is nearly sold.
1081:397: Kung Fu and the final packing for tomorrow’s adventure. I am officially on vacation now.

Will you be using the proceeds from Ranch Macbeth to buy the palatial Casa de Cruz?

Perhaps. We need a new car and to help Tara through law school first. It’s a more of a seller’s market right now, but we hope to be ready if an opportunity arises.

Nice. The legacy is definitely heading to law school or still just researching?

USF - right down the street from her.
My Kung Fu plans are thwarted. Yuki is shaking his head and licking his paws again so I must take him into the vet before our trip. Bummer.

DM - are you subject to capital gains on the sale, since it's not your primary residence?

We've been renting it out for the last decade so we are subject to rental taxes.
Which is a crapton of cash.
We thought of a plan to get someone to live there for 2 years (maybe Tara) so we would avoid that, but we couldn't sort it. We're still happy with what we got. It's a bit below our asking price, but our realtor suggested a far higher ask than we were thinking and it's above that so we're good.
Fingers crossed that it all closes nicely.
Who else here has sold a house? Greg, you sold your old place, right? And KB, did you sell a previous place? Man, what an ordeal. More money than we've ever moved in our lives...

I am indeed a house seller. It was a less than fun process. But we made some money which allowed us to buy Lynch Lair.
