Felicity becomes the ambassador to England rather than Afghanistan, the job she prepared for, after an explosion in the Persian Gulf of a British aircraft carrier. She doesn't want the job but her husband, a former ambassador himself, urges her to take the job.
So many twisty things happen. Felicity seems to be surrounded by enemies and she constantly confronts the protocols of her new job as she tries to do the right thing. She has problems with everyone including and especially her husband.
The show is written by one of the writers for the West Wing and feels very intelligent. The show looks like they spent a lot of money on it from the sets and locations and the cast.
I'm going to say you should watch this if you are into Brit based political thrillers. Or maybe you need to see what Felicity is up to these days.

Ep03 and Ep04
Nice fight scene. I like this show. It feels totally believable while you watch it but won't survive further scrutiny. Still. I'm going to keep watching it. I have some guesses on who is really behind the attack on the UK Aircraft carrier. I love a lot of the characters including Felicity.

I thought Rufus Sewell was good. I've always liked him, all the way back to Cold Comfort Farm.

Sewell is crushing it as the less than trustworthy spouse. Or is he untrustworthy?

Watched Ep07 last night. I totally guessed who the culprit is. The great thing about this is the great locations. From the manor houses to the government offices to Paris, it all looks great.
One more episode tonight should be a doozy after all the bad things that occurred in Ep07.

Now, I'm angry. What I thought was the penultimate episode turned out to be the final episode. And it ended on a terrible cliff hanger. Damn them all to hell. I hope that all the scripts written before the writer's strike set in.

And Season Two is done and dusted. More good diplomatic twisty fun. Only Six episodes. During the last episode I spent most of my time thinking how are they going to give us a massive cliffhanger since the story was pretty much wrapped up. And then they gave us a massive cliff hanger. Alison Janie doesn't come in until late, but she kills it.
I recommend this as a really good political drama.
