Citadel

The show is here. It seems to be exactly what I thought it was. They seem to have stolen some ideas from the Kingsman about private spy agencies. Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra star and they are much too pretty. Madden spends several scenes staring in a mirror at his body.

Basically, bad things happen to the Citadel during the course of which Madden loses all his memories which is totally a thing. Then he is called back because more bad things are about to happen. Stanely Tucci does Stanley Tucci things as the guy in the chair. There are lots of louds including a very fun scene on a train that I'm sure totally exists.

It all seemed somewhat derivative. I'll watch more to see if it gets better.

It's been getting poor reviews which gives me pause, but I'm a fan or Priyanka and feel that she has yet to get a Hollywood role that truly showcases her talents.

Watched two episodes

Opening sequence: 2001
Tucci explaining the spy gadgets: James Bond ("What about the pen? It's just a pen.")
Wouldn't you just kill the deadly opposing assassin twin when you've knocked him out?
Lots of magic tech.

It feels week, but the post episode, what's coming previewed lots more action. I'll try a couple more.

I fell in for 3 eps. I didn’t mean to, but the nitecap hit me hard enough to pin me to the chair that long.

I think it’s satire. I hope it’s satire. Perhaps it’s best to just go with that idea because it makes it more entertaining. The magic hour colors, the absurdly swirling cinematography, the rapid fire cheesey dialog. It’s kinda funny.

Whether intended or not, it has a comic book quality. The Russia have the fingers in this. Tucci and Manville are hamming it up big time. The lead guy isn’t quite working for me. And what happened to Priyanka? She’s vamping it up to Frank N Furter leve with her makeup.

Weird show. I was just reached out to by a PR for Citadel’s stunt guys. I don’t hunk I have the bandwidth.

Hunking bandwidth is frowned upon in most civilized places
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

Is Bunking Handwidth a euphemism? If not, it should be.

This PR agent is bunking my handwidth big time. He reached out via my ghetto wordpress site and somehow finagled my personal email out of my editor at Den.

Ordinarily I'd jump on it just to babble about Priyanka, but I've got a lot on the plate rn...

I'm sorry. Did you say you're passing up the chance to talk to Mrs. Jonas? Are you unwell?
