Sheltering in Place
Now why would I bother to hustle up you a sample? Beside, I thought you let go of your sword collection.

915-207: I've been cranking on a Den submission this night. I've pitched them 3 Lunar New Year pieces over the last two weeks and they bit at the last one, but they want it tomorrow for Lunar New Year this weekend. Fortunately, it's a fairly straight forward piece for me (at least I thought it was a few hours ago when I started on it). It's almost done and it does that recursive thing that I like so much that I'm thinking it's an integral part of my writing style. I have two YMAA meetings, I'm not sure what the second extra one is about. Stacy works all day so once I complete my meetings and article, I'm just going to call it a Friday and be done.

Whew, today was a cray Friday.

My Mac was being fussy as Macs get and required a few reboots to come back to life. I guess I kept it up too late last night. Lost an hour or two waking up it up, which put me in the scramble zone for my morning tasks and meetings. Nevertheless, I got my Den submission off by deadline - fingers crossed that it works for them. It's one of those serpentining pieces, as is often my writing style, but I like how it came out in the end. It circles around New Gods: Yang Jin (see http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...3#pid62403) which is playing up in SF and I was thinking of making the trek tomorrow, but now in the wake of the storms, I'm just going to rest. I just discovered The Wandering Earth II is playing within about a mile of our bungalow, so I might opt for that this weekend. I can't imagine that there will be a crowd. It's Lunar New Year this Sunday and in my tradition, that means time to see a movie.

Totally merc-in-ret
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

Sometimes there’s a little overlap with merc. Astrology ain’t no exact science. It’s scientifical.

916:208: Kung Fu & sorting my medical. Also laundry because Sunday (my usual laundry day) is the start of the lunar new year and you’re not supposed to wash stuff then.

917.209: just heard some firecrackers. Happy New Year!
I’ve got yoga, some work tasks, plus finalizing my covered Cali medical, and then I’m thinking I might treat myself to a movie for new years. We’ll see how it all shakes out.
I dropped a lunar new year feature for YMAA on Monday, horoscopes for KFM, today a den piece should drop, and next week, I’ve got my KFM new years blog, and a live podcast by some friends. Year of the bunny cat is busy.

There were fireworks again last night at 3am. Yuki is now terrified of fireworks. He gets so anxious that he starts panting and shaking. I’ve spent the last two nights talking him down for an hour. I’m now sorely in need of sleep. Plus my shoulders & back are making me painfully aware that I did yoga yesterday after several weeks off. Yay Monday.

918.210: work. That’s all I got today.

The fireworks must have woken me as well. Or i was hearing you talk down Yuki? I'd suggest the thunder coat but it didn't do a damn thing for Maeve. What cured it for Maeve was deafness. Although I don't suggest that as a remedy.

I'm tracking down dead guys or their families for rights permissions. I'm heading to Oakhurst to see a man about a phone.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

Nothing here last night. I thought there might be just because the Niners won, but no. The sky was very clear, and I could see some of stars in Orion that I can't usually see. That's the only constellation I can reliably locate.

And if it's a woman?

Oh good point. A lot of my RM friends were at the game. Several took pics at the goal line afterwards.

Whoever it was, 3AM? Really?

I think they call that the "Thunder Shirt" It's a compression coat. It sort of worked for Hazel. When we were in the townhouse, Christina used to hide with her in the downstairs closet (partly below ground), and play music and read out loud. She still was anxious. As Greg said, it went away when she went deaf. That took maybe 13-14 years.

No, just that from them. Eventually we did give her some doggie downers every 4th. She didn't like being drugged, but it was better than her hours long freakout.
