The tickets have been booked. I guess we are going and we are taking The Queen Mum with us.

Departure is May.

Don't know yet. But Dublin, Galway, Limerick are on the itinerary. The only request so far is the Waterford Crystal Factory.

The Queen’s Mum?
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

Yep, The Queen's Mum will be leaving sunny Florida and going someplace only slight less sunny. She has always wanted to visit and thinks I might be able to show her around the place.

I follow a couple of Irish Photography and Travel sites on FB. I'm constantly amazed by people who post on the thread saying "I'm going to Ireland. What should I see?"

Tell them to ask the locals about Buckingham Palace.

I have made the first hotel reservation in Dublin. It's across the street from St. Michan's, the church with the mummies.

I was looking at a menu for a restaurant that my father and one of his friend's liked to visit. It is an Italian restaurant and they have a selection of pizzas. They have on the menu the Limerick Pizza which contains Limerick Ham, sweet corn, and pineapple.

I might have to skip Limerick this trip.

(Corn on pizza is very popular in Israel. The Queen and I tried it when we there on our honeymoon)

I don't even know where to start with this person. I currently have on my list of destinations 12 ruins, including the Rock of Cashel.

Turns out a neighbor from Los Angeles who grew up in Dublin will be in Dublin the same time will be there. Plans to meet up are afoot.

My brain is currently full of Ireland trip plans. The brain is so full it is hard to do any other braining.

When planning for a trip it is always fun to stumble across a heretofore unknown historic red-light district in Dublin called The Monto. Closed by the Sisters of Mary back in the 1920s and referred to as Night-Town by James Joyce in Ulysses. Yes, the damn chorus for this song is stuck in my head.
