My mom’s amazing doctor just messaged me to let us know she’s retiring. She’s a great doc and I’m so sorry to lose her.
Our medical is changing too. Because there was a snafu with our cobra (where we paid several months but weren’t covered due to an internal billing issue with Kaiser) we got an extension. But that expires at the end of this month and we’ll have to switch systems because YMAA is an east coast company and their provider doesn’t cover Kaiser. I’ve been with Kaiser for a long time, as long as I can remember. And I really like my doc. So that’s a bummer too.

Last night, because of recent chaos, LCF volunteered to get Sushi at Safeway for an easier dinner. She walked, and walked back unnsuccessful. The Safeway had lost power, and perishables were not available. So she went out again, this time by car, to get Taco Bell. There, she hit something in the street and got a flat. There was a tow truck at Taco Bell changing someone else's tire. The tow truck driver changed the tire for her. Free. But the spare is a temp. Gotta deal with it today.
Expensive tires, and brand new. Got them just before the Wenatchee trip. I'll have to see if it can be patched.
Not certain what she hit, but on my walk earlier inn the day there was a lot of limb debris.

CF - go to America's Tire. They will let you buy the tire warranty for all the tires and then fix it for free. I did that when Christina got a flat back when her car was only a few weeks old. If they can't fix it they replace it (prorated for wear I think). I've gotten several free tires that way.

I deny your MiC. I went to the hardware store to get the exterior door latch I needed. The hardware store had the part and the right brand. I installed it into the front door and now I can open my front door from the outside again. Huzzah!
Yes, my hubris has now doomed me to meet my nemesis.

You may already know this, but I'm going to recommend Schlage rather than Quickset for locksets. They're more expensive, but made better.

In a moment of weakness, Stacy fell for a credit card phishing scam. She cancelled that card immediately (it's our main Visa) but now we have to wait until the new card comes, and there's some autopay items that will need updating.

I'm very familiar with lock-sets. Sadly the door already had a Kwik-Set bolt and had to stick with that.

We'll keep American Tire in mind in the future, but it turns out Costco has a very good warranty policy. LCF went there today, and they honored a replacement with no proof. They seem very good with in-store returns too. Anyway, it cost LCF about $7.50, and only because the cost of the tire had gone up. They're out of stock right now. Maybe tomorrow they'll have it and do the replacement.

My neural Med is overdue. I ordered a refill late last year and they’ve always been prompt in delivering. I’ve gone to half my normal dose over the last few days. I run out tomorrow.

Today has been a day of Flood warnings on my lIephone. I woke to one at around 6am and there was another during my first telemeeting.
My backyard neighbor has his pump out and was sweeping water away from his entrance. His place has had drainage issues. So far, we're okay. Just lots of ants.

My Directv won't connect to the satellite. On Sunday, it could connect to about half of the channels. Yesterday, it could connect to none. It could however connect to the WiFi and I could stream programs. Sadly, none of the transport controls would work so I couldn't fast forward or pause. There was also a ten second delay every time I changed channels as the streaming service engaged. I think maybe the winds have blown the dish out of alignment.

My AppleNews on my lIephone isn't working properly. I can't forward news stories.
Oh, and did we mention the weather?
