948.130 Did not want to get out of bed this morning. Looking forward to the time change. Two telemeets - most of the company is on east coast time so they’re already caffeinated and been working for an hour or so. Not I.
After work is iai.

Last night was dinner & a beer with H. We have one weeknight together and usually H cooks and we go out to our local and sit outside with a beer (to stay away from those nasty germy people in the bar). Since it is usually “San Francisco weather” in the Richmond district, we are bundled up and H brings a thin blanket that we share; all those years in Germany, “al fresco” means any time of year, no matter how nasty the weather is. It got down to the mid-40’s last night, so we may have finally found our lower limit. OTOH, the beer stays cold.

Took today off. Thursday is normally my remote day, but I have a bunch of vacation I have to use by the end of the year. Sold some books and bought some paper and a couple of sheets of acrylic, and worked on some collages for a Holiday sale I'm doing in December.

Again, it sounds like you D00Mbros had better Thursdays than I. Although I did enjoy iai (but I tied my hakama & obi wrong - I need to figure that out again).

But I'm headed into a weekend of shenanigans. Yay!

949.131: Work and then off to SLA for Odesza. I'm not that into them but Tara is - she almost bought a ticket but then the show was cancelled, so this is the reschedule - late in the SLA season, actually the season closer now, so it'll likely be cold.

I'll report on that here: http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...p?tid=4249

950.132: I plan to do an hour of Kung Fu, come home to eat & shower, drop off my ballot (just voted just now) head up to SF Chinatown for The Orphan which ends at 5:45. My call time at BGC for Alison Wonderland is 6 but I told them I’d be late and Tara will be on time to remind them. I’ll drive Tara home afterwards and then head home myself. If that seems like a lot, it is, but I’ll have an extra hour and intend to make full use of it.

I forgot to turn back the clock so I got up at 4:30. Oh well.

Went to bed early and woke a few hours ago well rested and realizing that I could sleep even more. Almost posted here about that then but opted for sleep. Yay sleep.

952.134: 2 telemeets, 1 immediate project due today because the handoff didn’t happen on schedule then off to sf once more for the screening of Wakanda, then home to spoil it on the D00M4M (just kidding - you know I never do that unless you piss me off).

I am heading back to the mechanics to hopefully solved the check engine light once and for all. I need to write about John Muir in the 1880s.

On a parallel note, I just replaced my windshield wipers. Damn those are expensive nowadays.

My driver wiper shredded on my way home from SF on Sunday morning. I hit some chunky thick fog for the last half hour, which brought my cruising speed down to like 40 mph. Now it's starting to rain and I'm headed to SF for that WAKANDA SCREENER in a few hours so I figured I'd better get on that. All better now...

I need to write more about Tai Chi & PTSD, the trending of folding fans, CHSA, Chinese New Year, and of course, WAKANDA.

WAKANDA FOREVER!
