S1Ep01 is in the bag. The premise is that six people are given community service instead of jail time to pay for their crimes. In the beginning we only really know the crime of one of the people. But as the college girl says, they are all types. All except, Stephen Merchant. No one knows what he is. As well as starring, Merchant writes and directs the series. If you don't know the name, Merchant co-created The Office with Ricky Gervais.
Christopher Walken is in it as the old con man who is currently staying with his estranged daughter while he finishes his community service. Four of the six people have relationship troubles. The other two might have them as well but we haven't dealt with those issues yet. The show is less of a comedy and more of an edgy caper movie with all the Outlaws being part of the caper although they don't know it yet. Entertaining. Will watch more.

S1Ep02 This episode tells the backstories of more of the characters. The only one missing is the factory owner. Christopher Walken continues to be the devil, the best devil. Bad things are in store for everyone as the bad guys start looking for their missing money. Lots of tense scenes around that. The instagram influencer is really endearing in her crazy life. They added more dimension Stephen Merchant's terrible lawyer character. To be clear, he is terrible as a lawyer.

S1Ep03 Okay. Now we know why everyone is in the work release program. The show balances the stories of everyone's characters and the overwhelming caper part of the show. There are some really sad bits and some funny bits. I'm enjoying learning everyone's stories. And you can see trouble on the horizon.

S1Ep04 More bad things. Backstory for Christopher Walken's character. The search for the money heats up. Stephen Merchant's character continues to be used and abused. And bad, bad things happen.
I don't know if this season is going to be able to wrap up the story lines. They have a long way to go.

Season 2 -
I'm only a few episodes in. - the gang spent the money and everyone is happy...then the kingpin arrives wanting his money back. A deal is made under pressure Now the gang is going to take over the local drug operation while Christian does his time for not doing community service originally. The show is becoming a cross between risky business and the wire. Still watchable. --tg

You have to love a show where the lead character is named Greg. Okay. Maybe you don't.
Ep02 The drug business swings into high gear. And Rani is taking her role as drug kingpin too seriously. The show is less funny and more story oriented this year. The people are still all terrible and you don't know who to root for. I was kind of rooting for Christian until he showed off his hidden agenda. Greg, however, continues to shine. I will continue to watch because of him. This was an episode without Christopher Walken and his presence was missed.

I noticed no Walken as well which made me wonder if the show has a tighter budget for this season.
Lots of plot holes about the drug business...if they expand the business, they'll need more supply. Where do they set their supply, The Dean? Who they owe money to and are trying to pay him off? Rani's character shift isn't very believable. --tg

All true. I keep asking myself where the drugs are coming from.
I though budget considerations about Walken's character as well. I figured they would have used him again to threat Greg's partner.

Ep 3 - In answer to my plot hole above, the crew goes breaking bad. Walken is back and puts in a powerful performance

Ep03 I know. Let's smoke crack. No downside to that.
Everyone continues to be awful. But there were some really funny scenes in Ep04, especially Greg on the date.

Ep05 More funny stuff. But the gang deals with problems as they come to the end of their Bristol Drug Empire and pay off the Dean. Also the cops keep getting closer. And Rhani is the worst.
