Impossible Dimple is a good band name
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

I can’t see past that impossible dimple. The more I try not to look, the more I stare.

Think of it as cleavage.
But seriously, that's some cleft.  It draws the eyes.

That cleft has heft.

Skipped a few eps but watched the Sanditon season finale, which resolved the stories of most of the characters except for the main pair, and that was left on a cliffhanger. Still meh. Stacy was calling out the arc resolutions just before they happened with uncanny timing. I decided that men are poorly represented in the Austen-verse. They are either stiff neurotics or cads.

Well in Northanger Abbey, Persuasion and Mansfield Park the love interests are nice guys but bland. I suppose with the formal manners of the day the blandness is inevitable. But there's not much to write about, so they really don't figure in the plots as much as the other characters. I guess you could put the guy from Emma in there too, but he does sort of lecture her about her behavior.

Endeavor season 8.

This show really deserves its own thread. It stands out as one of our favs from Masterpiece, which has been a tad middling of late. Endeavor is redeeming. S8 is hour and a half long eps. Stacy snuck ahead and watched pirated releases on YouTube as this already showed in th UK months ago. I’m watching it on PBS passport but we’re probably letting go of that soon. It’s just not delivering like before.

Anyway Endeavor S9 is to be the final one and that makes me sad. The show has a great cast chemistry and a keen eye for the period - the wallpaper alone is worth the watch. My fav character remains the coroner.

Finished s8e3 the season finale for endeavor. All three eps were enjoyable. Still luv the coroner the most. The finale went for a classic murder mystery trope and I got one of the perps but the plot was way too convuljted to get the motives and everything. Now I wait until next year for the final season. Maybe by then I’ll split this off into it’s own thread. It’s standout for Masterpiece

Grantchester S7e1: Dang, well, Will epitomizes the dirty vicar. Only he's so handsome, the women just swoon. I probably could've solved it if I was paying more attention - I had a feeling but didn't voice it so it doesn't count. This show is still fun, although Leonard's shift from the gay wannabe vicar to beat poet is a tad harsh.

Grantchester s7e23 - this season has a different vibe but still entertaining. I guessed this elaborate plot for 3 but it turned out to be the simple answer. My plot was better, twistier.
