The Body by Bill Bryson
#1
Another thick book from Bill Bryson. He's a long way from the jokey travel writer he started out as. He still gets in an occasional joke, but keeps them under control, and his writing reads along nicely.

This one was about the human body (duh). He gives a lot of general information, and talks to scientists, and mentions titles for further reading. I learned some things and then forgot a lot of them. Sometimes it seemed like just a bunch of trivia tied together. Entertaining, but maybe more information than I really needed or wanted.

Recommended if you like the author or want a general book about the body and with bit about illnesses.

Not to be confused with the short story by Stephen King.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
