2 eps in and liking it. The lead actor is ridiculously buff, 6’ 5”, and can’t keep his shirt on but his deadpan delivery is funny and he handles the fight scenes well. He breaks time when he attacks, opening with something brutal in mid-sentence, often a head butt, and drops smashing elbows a lot. Gritty practical fights, even convincing in how they handle multiple opponents. So that’s a major thumbs up.
The story has a lot of mystery and theirs some fun characters - it’s a three way buddy movie which is working well.
8 hour long eps. I’m in.

I was thinking about watching this but it was getting mixed reviews. I have read the Lee Child books. They are very basic, but they did suck me in. Time to watch the show.

E3. Yeah, I'm liking this show. The buddy threesome of Reacher and the two cops is really working for me. They've got a solid chemistry that's witty and snarky but they got each other's backs, although not without suspicion, just what you'd want from a buddy relationship. I really like all three characters.
The fights continue to be well choreographed. Reacher throws great horizontal elbow strikes. He's also at breaking time with staccato surprise attacks.
I read where Childs didn't care for Cruise's Reacher, which was slated for a sequel, due to his height. The author felt Reacher's height was integral to his character and this Reacher walks tall. He feels bigger than he is. Amazingly, he kept his shirt on for this ep.

Ep 2. Very enjoyable. Roscoe definitely makes it for me. Agree that there is good chemistry amongst the protags.

There were two Cruise films. But yeah, Child never cared for Cruise. He thought the fans had a particular image of Reacher in their minds and Cruise wasn't it.

2 more eps in. Still digging it. It has some nice twists and the action scenes are tight. The cast chemistry continues to entertain. Now with more nudity. Plus a new character on Reacher’s level.
What is up with all that feed?
Word is s2 is green lit now.

And we’re done. That was diverting. It got a little predictable in the end especially the course of the finale fight (although I was sure the cane would come into play). It almost gasses out before the finish but it makes it and the epilogue scenes had charm. Everything was tied up neatly in the end.
Still D00M recommended.

Thumbs up or thumb in?
Saw the first two episodes last night. They were enjoyable. It's a great example of Lee Child leaning hard on the improbably coincidence but that is what he does. I really like Roscoe. I think Alan Ritchson is a fine embodiment of what Lee Child was describing. The fights were good. And yes his shirt is off a lot. But if I looked like that, my shirt might be off a lot, too.
As I watched, I couldn't help but think that if this were a two hour movie, the fights would be a lot closer together.
And as we watched the movie, the Queen noticed that everyone kept talking about how big Reacher was. She asked if that was part of the books. I said it was. She then asked incredulously how could Tom Cruise play this part? I explained that it was big part of why the films weren't so popular.
I am ready to watch more.

We are 3 eps in. I'm enjoying the repartee. Reacher reminds me of Puddy from Seinfeld

Ep 03 Reacher kills people in cold blood. Still like the banter. Roscoe is still the best thing going. I like Malcom Goodwin as Chief Detective Finley. He was really good in iZombie as well. Reacher continues to be funny with his Nos and punch first attitude.

Ep04 The one with the dog. The show needs more punching although I did like the fight scene at the restaurant. And the end was pretty shocking.
