Okay well that boba was super caffeinated. My jaw is still flexing from it. It was also the best boba I’ve ever had. But I really need to sleep now. Tomorrow’s a big day.
I finished my review. It’s not stellar but it is a rave one and should satisfy the new rep.
651: After making my mom breakfast, I have that early morning Telemeet then I must take my mom back to her dentist to check on a sore, then back to the bank to get that notary work done (I’ve tried to call to confirm but I haven’t gotten through), then my mom’s chores (more that usual because I got in too late to do my usual loading last night, then a bit of Xmas shopping and getting gas on the way home, then walking the dog, then more work - I’ll have to prep for Thursday’s meetings.
I’m really surprised on how strong that boba was...I had it like 8 hours ago and I still feel like I just drank an espresso. Tea seldom hits me this hard.
Maybe it’s still spidey afterbuzz.

Would you say your sense of Spidey is tingly?

Woke to the sound of pouring rain but it’s supposed to stop by sunrise. Perfect.
652: My Thor’s telemeets with a twist. Tara is coming down with Bri & Bottles. They want to do some laundry and visit some friends, including catching Spidey with Alex tonight. I’ll be heading up to sf for a screener of A King’s Man with Plugo. I hope to squeeze in some Xmas shopping and Kaiser falling too.

I've called off the morning dog walk due to rain. It's not supposed to stop raining here until noon.

653: We’ll have breakfast with Tara & Bri but then Tara has to head back for work at Victory. I must tuck into work too, plus I have an Xmas errand and must follow up on Kaiser and my mom’s banking. Working solidly this weekend to squeeze some time off for Xmas. Stupid holidays. Humbug.

Went to coffee and then to the post office to drop off a return package (my slippers didn't fit). Swung by Stanford Shopping Center for Christina to look for a pair of shoes, but they were out of her size. Came home and wrapped gifts.
Went to the eye doctor and ordered new glasses, at just slightly stronger than two years ago (when I last went). I got the free frames this time; they look almost like my Ray Ban frames. Got my blood test results back from the doctor and my cholesterol has gone down slightly although I've taken no steps to do it. All other values within standard limits.
Learned a couple of old songs on the uke: Bing Crosby ("Looks Like a Cold Cold Winter") and Louis Armstrong ("Christmas Night in Harlem") and both were not too hard, unlike a lot of those old songs that have a ton of crazy chords.

Dr. Bob had a pleasant day, it seems. I’m glad!

My frames are ray bans. The reading part of the bifocals are a little too low however and I have to push them up to use them to read. I seldom wear those unless I’m going to an art museum or something like that.
654: Last Kung Fu class of the year. May do some Xmas shopping. I should’ve done more yesterday but bailed out because I was stressing my workload. Knocked out my King’s Man review last night and just need to polish that today so I feel a bit better. My Cobra Kai interview piece should go quicker today - it’s shorter and I know where it’s going better.
I just got my cpr recert notification. Seems like another time when I last took it - just prior to the pandemic.

I cheaped out this time and got the ones covered by insurance. (I think my plan is lenses every year and frames every two.) These were an Italian name I'd never heard of. They look almost exactly like the Ray Bans, and they are black, which is like a tribute to my dad, who always wore black frames. Plus I didn't want to be without my glasses while I get new lenses. I did that last time and it was a pain. I'll probably switch back next time I need new lenses. With two pairs I think I'll leave the old ones at work.
Super cold here this morning. My phone said 33. I ran the heater in the garage while I rowed. I covered the Jade out front last night; hopefully nothing else froze. Going to Menlo Park later and hitting Feldman's Books while Christina does a house call. They had to move out of their place to a smaller one, but now it's downtown by the Trader Joe's, so parking is easier.

Don’t get me started on my medical coverage catastrophe. I have a lot of cheap drug store readers for when I’m away from home.
655: Work, laundry, Xmas prep, Yuki walk, and debating about watching Matrix 3 to remember where it left off - the reset, right?
Impressive full cold moon. There was frost on our cars yesterday morning.

I had to use the ice scraper on the windshield on Friday morning. Very bright shiny mooning on the morning pre-dawn dog walk. Although full moon fog dog walks are the best. The lighting isn't as harsh.
