Glad I didn’t watch the 2nd BTS until after finishing the season. I have a feeling Greg will like the bit about the Musee del Oro set.

DO NOT WATCH THIS TRAILER IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE SEASON 4 FINALE

Eh, who am I talkin' to here? It's just me and tg who get this. We are the Resistance.

Aw damn. I was trying to post the Spanish version, not the English dub.

Let's try this one:

I've been seriously considering engaging with this.

But it's into season 4?

Effin' lot of catch-up.

There is a town in Ireland in the province of Munster called Effin. So many jokes. For instance, last week the Effin Hurlers won the intermediate Hurling Finals. The Effin Hurlers!

I can’t say why it works but it’s the most engaging show that I’ve watched lately. No other draws such emotional response out of me. I don’t even know why.

I went back for S1e1 and was struck by how well it fits with what happens in S4. Tokyo’s tiny intro back story is fleshed out completely in S4 and it’s almost as if the writers knew where they were going. But did they? The show was cancelled after the initial run in Spain, and only blew up when it got to Netflix. That wasn’t only S1&2, so when they got Netflix bank, S3-5 were created. Gotta hand it to the writers to have so much foresight.

Dammit.  I committed to the first season, all 13 eps, and it didn't wrap up?  WTF!

The first 3 eps were super impressive.  After that it slowed a bit and expanded, with here and there an implausibility.  But the sheer number of clever ruses on both sides remains impressive.  One of the best thought-out series I've seen.  Deftly scripted.

But it didn't wrap up!

Season 2 wraps up. Then season 3 launches a whole new heist that will wrap up at the end of the upcoming season 6...at least that’s what has been promised. The show masters it’s music, cliffhangers and mcguffins.

Glad to hear you feel it’s deftness. It’s a tough show to explain unless you just dive in but I find those of us who are into it are really into it.

Finished S2.  That first heist finally wraps up.  There were implausibilities along the way, such as removing intact bullets from people, and taking control of a situation by pointing a gun in someone's face at pointblank range (No, you've just made it a game of reflexes, essentially a jump ball), or the ever-popular Mexican stand-off, or like I said earlier, the good-cop/bad-cop routine in the interrogation room that shouldn't work, and guns that, in a pitched battle, seldom run out of bullets, and so forth.  Still, the sheer number of clever and believable ruses on both sides continued to grow and overall won me over.  And it stayed clever and intense to the very end -- i.e., a well-funded production.  Wow.  Who'da thought you could make a series with all smart, if flawed, people.  Kudos on almost every level.

I need a break before deciding if I'm going to jump into S3.  It's definitely a diverse and interesting cast of characters, with great acting.  So I'll likely be back.

The next heist is more extreme.

It was cancelled after the first heist in Spain, then blew up on Netflix, so the second heist has a serious budget. And it ends this Friday with the release of the finale season.

Y’all know what I’ll be binging this weekend. Bella Ciao!

S5e6: Major feels. We knew that was coming. The aftermath of S5e5. The war continues.

S5e7: Even more feels...and where I least expected them. This ep finally returns to that dark sense of humor that had been missing in S5. S5 has been the war, so violent and chaotic.

3 more eps plus a new doc. Den accepted a query I sent and that piece is due Monday. It's almost all written in my head and in odd notes all over (like here). I just want to finish the show before putting that together in case there's any surprises. And I'd be surprised if there weren't any surprises.
