Sheltering in Place
If you take the 5 and cut over at Lost Hills, you get to go by the James Dean crash site. Also Lost Hills usually has the cheapest gas on the freeway.

8.5 hours = Tara’s apt to bungalow. Hopefully I won’t have to do that again.

110 degrees and super gusty over the grapevine.

Yuki was a champ. Such a good dog. My crv was loaded down with pre-move cargo which limited his space but he discovered that if he sat in the middle of the middle seat, he could get max AC, so he stood there very statuesquely for most of the ride.

458: Back to the grindstone. I have a queue of telemeetings for YMAA and stuff to sort for Immortal and KFM. Putting stuff away - laundry - all that post trip stuff, plus I need to run to Ace for that fire alarm.

Then Kung Fu. Then catch up on my weekly TV shows.

We always go this way. It's more efficient to pass through Paso Robles from the Cruz.

459: Happy Friday? Still a work day. Plus our landlord’s property manager will stop by for the annual fire alarm inspection. Some friends are in town and we might try to connect.

460: Had a nice late night gathering with a few old friends and caught up on a lot of mutual friends through them. What a ride the pandemic has been. After a year and a half, I broke my herb fast.

I have Kung Fu tomorrow which might be challenging after the late night. Then I hope to get ahead on some work. Stacy has clients so it’ll be me and Yuki and work.

I had a solid Kung Fu session yesterday and am rather sore.

Isn't today the Solstice? Or are we screwing with time again?

It's those pesky extra minutes in the year that keep shifting it.

I did my Solstice chore of turning the giant potted jade plant on the front porch.

Now we can celebrate National Pollinator Week.

? The What-ies?
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
