349: Well, a got tossed a curveball. I was contacted by an editor for a prestigious paying publication but the initial deadline is next Tuesday. I pitched an off-the-cuff piece and the editor bit at it. So I just spent the evening hammering out most of it.
I was trying to reserve my Fridays for Kung Fu and relaxation, but I must finish this piece by Monday. Sunday is my birthday and I'm definitely taking that off. Monday I have a YMAA deadline, although most of that is in place - I just need to send it all out.
So tomorrow it's Kung Fu, then writing. Need about 200 more words, but these are the critical ones. And then there's the polish.

Today we went to Rick's in Palo Alto for ice cream. I had saffron pistachio and it was delicious.

351: Final polish on the new outlet submission, YMAA & KFM, clean up after my raging birthday party (empty whiskey bottles and cheese containers everywhere) & laundry since I didn’t do any yesterday.
Lots of food in the fridge. Yay.

Gotta hand it to my spellcheck sometimes. It improves so many of my posts. You know, I’ve been following Zendaya since she was on Shake It Up. That was one of the last kid’s shows Tara watched. I do admire her because she survived child stardom without having some major scandal meltdown and she’s quite talented. It’s a remarkable resemblance in so many ways.

Every time is see the name Zendaya, I first think of that guy named Sanjaya from American Idol, whom they often mocked on The Soup. It always confuses me for a minute.
