Oh man. Sorry to hear.
Yeah, I rue the day when we'll have to sort all of that. My mom's accounts are stable but she's getting messier about keeping track of it all. There are papers scattered everywhere on what was formerly the dining room table.

While she stills has her wits about her would be a good time to get Powers of Attorney for financial and medical.

I have that for medical. I'm not sure about how to go about that for financial. Who should I consult there?

In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

thanks. i'll look into that.
307: Today started a little differently. We decided we'd head up to Waddell Beach, maybe hike a bit, first thing in the morning. We were thwarted. Turns out both Waddell and that trailhead are no dog zones and there was a Ranger present (Rangers have been at the beaches a lot lately with the king tide).
So we rerouted to UCSC and took a short stroll, then took Yuki to the dog park nearby.
After that, I searched through Tara's stuff because she wanted me to find a 'how to draw manga' book I gifted her a long time ago and mail it down to her. She's got a lot of cool stuff, packed tightly in her old closet. I found it in under 20 mins which really impressed Stacy.
I managed to stay off the interwebz until lunch, which has been rare during the pandemic. Netizens are my only friends now.
I just did a little work email and plan to burrow into writing my Den piece plus I hope to finish reading a book for YMAA. Maybe I'll do some tax work. I need to gather my expenses to deduct from my independent business which I need to create. I had one 20 years ago, back when I was freelance and writing off all manner of stuff, but I've forgotten what I called it. I'm just going to launch a new one.

308: I finished my Den piece but I got to trim it down a lot. I need to cut like 500 words.
It's laundry day. And I should get some exercise.

Shoot. I missed 310. MLK day confuzzled me. I'm really trying to keep count here. That's the whole point of this thread and I'll be so happy when it's done.
311: Same grind, YMAA mostly, a bit of KFM, and then there's a meeting for Immortal tonight, some sort of pre-panel thing for Saturday's Wizard World panel. I didn't make it out grocery shopping for my mom so I'll do that first thing tomorrow, and then attend to her usual chores.
Oh... and celebrate.

312: YMAA telemeet, prep for tomorrow's phoner interview (that's pretty much done), sort a few odd tasks for YMAA & KFM. Catch up on The Expanse...
And do the math until day 360...

313: Interview for Den in less than an hour, then YMAA tasks mostly.
I'm in a funk after two restless nights in a row. Major brain circuses.
And here comes the rain again...

Falling on my head like a memory.
I can't wait. Forecast calls for snow on Monday!

Raining in my hand like a tragedy
Tearing me apart like a new emotion
Raining now. We're supposed to get a break tomorrow. Then rain Sunday. Then another break Monday. Then the storm his and it's rain for the following week.
Moister than an oyster.

314: I'm appearing on another Wizard World panel today at 4PM. Should be amusing. It's a 4 person panel that goes for about 40 mins once you get past in the intro and outro which is less than 10 mins a piece less the moderator.
Apart from that, there's YMAA work to be done.
