Donald Trump is our Ex-President(whew)
#76
If he is impeached he doesn't get any of the privileges of being an ex-president. No pension. No million dollar travel allowance. No Secret Service.

I think the new Senate balance also affected their decision.

Pence said “no” to 25th amendment, McConnell, that shit-weasel, said he will slow-walk an impeachment vote until after Jan 20th, which would hamstring voting on Biden’s cabinet, etc.

Why would anyone want to try to “reason” or “compromise” with people who show no inclination whatsoever to do the same?

I'm hoping that some useful fallout from this dangerous incident is impairment of the Horror Clown's lineage in Washington.  In his absence, I've feared Conservatives would simply shift their loyalty to his politically-minded offspring/relatives.  Please let this damage his brand beyond them becoming a permanent and central fixture in the Republican Party.

And wouldn't it be nice if Ted Cruz and other stalwart congressional Trump supporters suffered real damage to their careers.  But I suspect they'll talk out both sides of their ass to smooth over the critics while convincing Trump's rabid base that they haven't given any ground (it's not hard to fool them).

I doubt that will happen. I'm more worried that another follows in his footsteps, someone that's got some smarts.

Meanwhile, this dude cost me a piece I was pitched about Chuck for the Walker reboot. My editor pulled it because he wants nothing to do with anyone associated with the insurgence.

That's okay. I wasn't that into the piece anyway.

Chucky is a whackjob. “America will fall into a thousand years of darkness if Obama is re-elected”.
