It's Friday. I'm at 63, 693. I just started writing about The Longest Yard.
I wanted to jog my memory about what hotel we were at and i was using Google maps to find it. I couldn't.
But I took a peak at the prison we used. Our set is still up. Or at least the pieces we added to the prison are still on the building. And now that I think about it, I think a TV show went to that prison and used those sets.

Just off the top of my head, here's what I remember you saying at the time about working on The Longest Yard. You had to build a basketball court, or at least one backboard with rim, probably pour a slab for the court (or partial court?), and that this was not part of the set. Rather, one of the actors (Sandler?) made that a recreational requirement if he was to do the movie.
I think you said more (was it something positive about Sandler?), but not remembering the details. Is that stuff still on DOOM? Or was it wiped out by Fat Man or Little Boy?

Sandler had to have the basketball court poured. It was done between the wings of the prison. You can still see it on Google maps.

I still have the Last Action Hero kid you gifted me. I don’t wear it because I wasn’t that into the film but I should watch it again and see if my opinion has changed. I can’t remember a thing about it except it was some kid’s fantasy with the governator.

I gave you a kid? That's pretty irresponsible, even for me.

I have not idea what you are asking.
The modem at the house is acting up. Every ten minutes or so we lose connection to the internet goes down. Then it comes back up for a minute, before we lose the signal again. tQ has been on to the provider. They are sending someone out in about two days.
Consequently, I'm getting a lot of writing done. Sort of.

Somedays are easier than others. I was cranking out material from the word mines yesterday as I was writing about the misadventures on Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Today, I have moved onto The Good German and the seam appears to have run out. I'm spending a lot of time doomScrolling and hitting refresh on Facebook. I just need to push through this block to get to Dreamgirls.

After the last couple of days of Film Festival excitement (and I am excited) I should have no reason to complain. But it's just not me without complaints.
I'm trying to get the book done and it goes off the rails when I slip into validation euphoria. Plus, I'm at a tricky phase in the book. I did a lot of scrambling around getting shows after Dreamgirls and before I got to Angels. And i didn't take as many notes about the productions as I should have. Or take pictures. In once case, the few pictures I know I did take, I cannot locate. And that OCD of wanting to find the pictures to prove I'm not crazy about knowing I took pictures kicks in. But I have writing to do. So, I can finish my rough first draft.
Plus, IMDB isn't helping. They have release dates but not the dates I worked on the picture. And some times the release dates are out of order of when I worked on them. For instance, I worked on Moneyball and then it wasn't released for two years. The same thing happened with Priest. A few of these shows I was only on for a short time so I don't have a bunch of stories or any stories besides built flats, got paid, and left.
I'm digging through this here forum for some clues and going through my photo catalog for others. Thank god for date stamping on photos. Also I did write about some of the films here but not in a clearly defined area. Plus, I don't want to spend too much time digging when I could be writing.
Now, time to go write about either Changeling or He's just not that into you.
