Logged in from my phone and saw the syntax error message. Almost lost it. But a refresh made it go away, thank goodness.

The forum is a bit cranky this morning. It wouldn't load from about 5:30 to 6:30. But it seems to be back now. I'm blaming it on the shoe salesman.

How’d you do that?

Magic. The darkest magic.

I added some code into back-end that I found on the inter webs. If you want to add a tweet just add the url of the tweet between some short codes. It should look like this " "

Is that final "[twitter/]" correct?  HTML coding conventions would have the slash come first, i.e., [/twitter].  Not that I know anything about embedding a tweet.  Just wondering, from a position of ignorance.

DM, don't use the code function. Just paste it in surrounded by the short codes. You had URL in brackets which was confusing the code.

Cranefly, you are correct. It should be [/twitter] to close the command.

That's what I did - both with the /twit & twit/ versions. With cf version, it added code so I deleted it. Then it came up correctly but only when I did it both ways together. If I only did one, it didn't work. Were you tweaking it simultaneously?

Here, let's try again.

And again

all together now...

oh wth?

The 2nd time i did it with the twit/ version and that didn't work. Then I did it a third time with both /twit & twit/ and that post disappeared but the embedding work.

This Dark Magic is very confusing.

Must have. I went in and erased things, like the URL brackets.

It works even in the quick reply.
