So how goes the soft curbside?

I got a little momentum off the job interview & work meeting. I finished de-molding the pantry. Stacy had started and gave up saying it was too deep, but a barrage of anti-mold cleansers and some elbow grease brought it almost back to white. Also cleaned the bathroom.

Now my neighbor is busting out his heavy metal guitar riffs. He's actually not bad, a Metallica wannabe, but he's got some chops, and it's not obnoxiously loud. Just right actually and I so miss live music. Stacy practices piano daily which is awesome.

Today would've been day 1 of Cali Roots and it's gorgeous out. So missing that show this weekend. http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...0#pid38180 It's like this double whammy, missing TCEC then missing Cali Roots.

Okay, now my neighbor is screaming about messing up but really...how can you tell with a heavy metal guitar riff?

Sorry for Cali Roots. I know that was your decompression event. Still, quality beach time will be good, yes?

Today was fine. I got the customers I expected, refining our steps. Post real hours and Covid Caveats this weekend. Online or phone only, prepay by card or write a check curbside. All clothing sales final (that was an interesting one). People mare starting to break things, and the kids keep growing. Clubs are slowly, stealthily starting to do individual lessons again.

Slow enough that I got a fair amount of paperwork done. Not a bad “first day back”.

Glad that things went well. Hope it continues. You need to put those Xs on your curbside access, just like Wile E. Coyote, Super Genius.

I've been going to the beach but I wouldn't call it quality time. It's quanrantine time. Dodging other beach goers. Looking at its emptiness. The Boardwalk is all shuddered. They even took out the concert stage. That should've fired up today (I never go to the opening show because I'm at Cali Roots). Some people play in the surf or do beachy things. Beach chairs and such are still prohibited. Blankets are okay, which is usually all I'd bring to read a book, but I just don't feel comfortable doing much more than walking the beach. Seabright beach was fairly busy tonight - as busy as I've seen it for the SIP - but there was a patrol car.

Apart from a quick errand, been home most of today, hiding from potential spike-inducing tourists and holidayers. I've been saving files off KFM, which is yet another journey down memory lane. So many random articles, so many adventures and experiments. I nibbled at writing, but only a bit. Now I'm a little drowsy because I didn't sleep that well last night. Sleep is such a precious commodity. Now I have all the time in the world to sleep, but sleep won't come.

a lazy quiet memorial day
i'm at the front table, tapping away at my laptop, watching people go by my front yard.
stacy should be home soon. if she needs space, which she often does after going over the hill, i'll go for a walk. if not, i'll just keep hanging out here.

in our new media room. we converted the back room into our tv room because the wifi is strongest on the north side of the bungalow. don't ask me why but it works. i'm chipping at work, choreographing some images for iMort and sorting some interview questions. nice to be working again but i'm getting a little flustered not being in the habit and not having my previous work amenities at my disposal. but i'm adapting...
