Another doc that made me rethink the subject. Of course I remember Whitney's impact but I wasn't really a fan. She was a pop diva - one of the biggest pop divas ever - when I was rejecting pop. Plus a lot of that was the 80s when music and fashion were ... well, eighties. Nevertheless, seeing her story play out in chronological order, spliced in with newsreel footage of things that were happening in the world during those times gave me a new perspective. And her tragic donwfall really was tragic.
