LCF and I played out the standard Sunday ritual.
CF (that's me): Guess what 60 Minutes is about tonight?
LCF: (Sigh.)
It never gets old.

Dinner, 2nd Dinner, Homeland, Baptiste, World on Fire. Chatted up some friends on facebook. Now sippin gin and thinking I'll read a little before sleep.
Sunday SIP unlocked.

DAY 40: Stacy took the Jetta to Big O for some repairs - back window only closes halfway, driver's rear view mirror broken, locking lug nuts and no key.
Might go for a hike. Otherwise, quaranroutine as usual.

Gotta get a doc notarized and mailed off, call some more institutions about B’s change of status, maybe do some repairs. They’ll be some coffee in the there. Later this evening, take H’s luggage back to her cave. My depression has lightened up to where I can read again, so book II of the NK Jemison trilogy is up now (just knocked off Seanen McGuire’s latest “InCryptid” book).
That’s the plan. Let’s see what really happens.

Did any of you catch the picture of Lord Zoom with his M-Team backdrop for Whiskey Night? Simply amazing.

Did the hike. Took the local's only entrance which a friend tipped us off to for Nisene. 10 miles, 88 floors. Nice. Only saw 4 people for the bulk of it, but then a lot as we were leaving.
Car is done, but Stacy wants to pick it up tomorrow.
One more thing. I'm down to 135, my fightin weight (not that I fight at all...I'm a lover not a fighter). I was at 150-155 before. I've been eating really well during this. Typically, I eat lunch out on work days, but now, I just eat whatever Stacy is cooking, plus a few extra meals on the side.

DAY 41 Jetta window & rear view repaired. Also turned out that the car was dry - no oil or water. That's all fixed now. $350ish. The passenger window jammed on the way back from Big O (it's a short walk from the bungalow) but it was pulled closed. Maybe we just shouldn't use the windows. We're a bit concerned about the lack of fluids - a leak maybe? That'll get expensive. Free cars are always expensive.
Stacy went on an errand to get water and to the bank. I've completed the responsibilities of my quaranroutine, plus cleaned the stove top, and will head over to my mom's in a few hours. I'm sure Stacy can use the break for me.
Tiger Claw sent a staff email confirming that we will remain shuttered through May as per county orders. Jonny said he is still applying for business loans and stimuli. TN is on the verge of reopening due to the laxitude of that state, but given that their first opening day produced the biggest spike in cases, we'll just see how that goes.
I'm still a tad sore from yesterday's hike.

DAY 42 (week 6): Have to make a shopping trip for my mom. She's running out of toilet paper.
I have some work I must do for that consulting gig. I'm under NDA for that, but I'm going to call it iMort here, for future reference. I also need to sort my UI debit card app. Otherwise, it's the quaranroutine.

SCORED TP! Damn, never been so pleased with that. Hit up two stores both with completely empty shelves, but then on the way out of Walgreens, I found a stray 9-pack in a totally random place. Yaaaaaasssssssss.
You know, I'm okay with masks and gloves. I hope we can wear masks and gloves all the time after this. But I'll be so happy when going to the grocery store doesn't feel like russian roulette.
My BoA app for my UI failed. It downloaded okay, but it's not recognizing my account. I'm giving up on that for now.

I got my BoA UI debit card to work. Yay. The problem was I downloaded the wrong app. There's a specific one for debit cards. EDD only tells you when they pay you but not how much is on the card at any given time. Now I know, with the app. NOTE TO ALL DOOM UNEMPLOYED - get the debit card and the right app for the most efficient delivery of your unemployment cash.
Three random SIP observations: 1. I really like wearing a mask. I really hope that keeps going. Did I say this already? I really mean it. 2. I am unconcerned with the possibility of a meat shortage. As long as you carnivores don't cause a run on my tofu and brussel sprouts, and I doubt that'll happen, we're good. 3. I have not touched any cash money in 7 weeks. I took some cash out at the very beginning of the SIP but have not used it at all. If it makes it to the other side, it's going towards a nice bottle of whiskey.
What a strenous day. Time for tea. And maybe a nap.

Trying to find the hard-to-find Quarantine Goods? Try the bodegas; they often have different supply lines than the majors and are also pretty resourceful. TP, hand-sanitizer, etc, has not been much of a problem (so far...)
