Sheltering in Place
I was checking out ZOOM because I haven't done it yet and accidentally crashed a meeting in progress.  Oops.  Not a great start because I wasn't really ready and neither were they.  I'll check back in at the appointed time.  Zoom is pretty simple.

Stacy went out to try to ninja on to the trails for a hike, but there was police tape everywhere.  She tried all sorts of of local covert entrance gates - locals only paths - but they all got shut down last night, including parking access. She said she didn't know there were that many orange cones in the world.  This will be really tough on her.  She's started in on the next ep of State of Play to console herself.

There's a garbage truck moving all the stuff from our backlot house.  So sad to see them go.  We'll really miss them.  The wifi we were coattailling on went dark so it was theirs as we suspected but we got another means using my mom's wifi access (I'm the email so I can use it).  Thank goodness because without the web, I would totally lose it now.  I've kinda lost it already anyway.  But you all know that too well.

Even I managed to work it out on the fly. That usually means “designed for idiots”

Should've thought of that.  Getting back into work mode is hard.

Yetidiot?

I accidentally made my screen too small and then didn't figure out how to make it big again until signing off.  I was worried I'd mess it up.  But it was no big deal really.  I need a better backdrop...

Somebody made a zoom backdrop that showed himself accidentally walking into the room during the middle of the call. That should be the standard for every Zoom backdrop.

I considered hanging some sort of tapestry - I have some nice ones that would be apropos but it seemed like too much effort.

It's like a Sheltering in Place anthem!

Am I the only one who likes Blink-182?

Fine, it won't let me post it here.

DAY 23: Same as any other day.

Stacy tried to go for a walk around the 'hood.  We have a fav loop we like to do - walked it with Jingles for many years until he could no longer walk that far.  It goes through several parks, down past the harbor and across Seabright beach.  It was all yellow taped off.  Stacy came home in hasty retreat because there were too many people out and it got stressful trying to dodge them, defeating much of the purpose of the walk.  Now she's practicing piano, which is very nice. Man, I miss live music.

They closed your beach to local access? Harsh. You are supposed to go for walks, so how can you do that if they close off all the walking places?

On a different subject, can we refer to the religious nutbags who are ignore the current plague as Branch Covidiots? No? Well, who ask you anyway!

I was expecting such events to be dominating the news today.  But I've yet to see anything.  Should I go see an eye doctor?

Good question.  We don't know.  I'm staying in my bungalow.

Contagious Xtians.  I guess they never read as far as Revelations...

Yuu would think that if they can close the Church of the Holy Selpuchre in Jerusalem, you can close your local church as well.
